i say back off to the clip. the dd1 is to dectect distortion, not clipping. so even with a soft clip ther might not be distotion. one would say distortion before clipping. but who knows. either way even if it doesnt distort, there can always be a soft clip you wont be able to see without a good oscope. if you trust your clip indicator, and the dd1, i say jus set it prior to the dd1,there for you be distortion free and clipp free from what the indicator is reading

or if ur buying that much batts, jus get d1600 cant jus hook it direct lol for a burp and unhook it back to 12v for daily lol.

it should work if you wired all the d1400 together only and then jus hopt a - and a + to a single connection for the run or burp or bassrace. then disconnect it from the 12v batt and jus charge it with the 14v charge all in paralell. they do rest at around 14-15v. it might be ok if you jus o it strictly like that. but it might jus sae u the trouble if ur car can take a 16.8 charging system

well, you know xs has a new owner. prices jumped up and hopefully the customer service is there. but like al product that the original owners cash out on. becomes crap. so let it while the product still good lol. i would do the xs d3100s over A BATCAP. but its all on your budget. but the price of the d3100s now, you mite wanna consider something else. and i run the xs d3100, until the price jump lol. so their out the truck now. going with something else. i personally view it as how would the company benifit me in the next 3-5 years. prcie jump isnt doing it lol. it mite go up even higher lol, new owner within a month and its up. not lookin too good.

ive heard both personally. heard the btl and the xl and lv5....i personally purchased the 2 dclv5 15" and it was way cheaper than 2 fully loaded btl shipp to my door. but you gotta know people. and with the btl, good luck finding deals on bnib. the dc lv5 beats out the btl imo in daily loudness. the btl had jsut a lil better sq. but thats about to change whem i tune a bit lower. get the dc xl and you be good. but i still like the btl. greeat sub. either one wont dissappoint you.
