  1. I own a small shop in a small town and we move Sundown equipment pretty well. But I have no issues matching online MAP prices that Sundown post. Id rather make $20 with a customer and keep him coming back for years rather than make $100 upset him and never see him/her again. There are a few companies out there whose stuff floats around on Evilbay or Amazon that I cannot compete with price wise. Some of that equipment sells for cheaper that I can buy it for myself as a dealer which makes 0 sense to me. But it is what it is. So our biggest box name we carry and push is Sundown. Price wise, quality wise and customer service wise they are our best product. And we carry several "nut hugger" brands.

  2. I have both systems and use them reg. Both have there ups and downs. I love the blu ray feature. Some of the same games for xbox/ps3 I find the graphics to be better on the PS3. This is all on the same tv same game both systems use hdmi cables. The online play I do not like on the PS3.....yes its free......but I find myself in alot of hacked rooms on COD. The Xbox online exp I find to be far greater than the PS3. The payment options are easy on the Xbox. Either buy a prepaid card and enter the numbers,or have it setup to withdraw automatically from a card. Keep in mind the only gaming I do online is COD and a race game here and there.....and I have diff COD games for the PS3 and Xbox.

  3. One to the port should be good. But I might suggest running it threw the port to the top of the box. Then just add bolts. So you would have a total of 6 bolts on the one rod. 2 at bottom of box. 2 at bottom of port and 2 at the top of the port. Dunno if it will flex or not. Or you could double layer the top of the box. But the box looks great cant wait to see it done! :drink40:

  4. 50.5 w 17 d 23ish tall tuned at 40 with alot of port. Its 5.9 something after displacement. And that port took up alot. The box I have designed now is shorter nor as deep same width and will be just over 6 cubes with 3 6" aeros so I can get some leg room back. With your bodydrop you should be right at the window if not a hair over if you decide on using aeros. And I was only pushing these with 1 DC 3.5K.

And before anyone ask. This is how you get 50.5 wide in a dime :drink40:

  5. Trax... is your box single or doubled?

Box is single 3/4" Baffle is double 1.5" just for the purpose of flush mounting the subs.,a.......brace between subs and the portwall is all the bracing in the box. Then resined inside and outside. Outside was just for smother surface....but then it got textered paint so that was a waste of time.Hers a pic of the final box that I took to world. Same one as in the vid before glass.

  6. The 13.25 is area per foot. My setup will be for a daily and not for spl although i would be curious on how much db's i will be hitting. There is someone here that has 4 18" lvl 5's all single walled including the baffle and he hit 155 db's.

    My 01 S10 does 50's anywhere in the truck and a 52 @ the head. With 2 15's street box and a 3.5k (under the window) 6 cubes.:peepwall:

    hows your box set up?

This was the 1st box. Current box looks the same just alittle shorter to get in under the window line. Tuned at 40hz. New box is going to be subs forward with 3 6" aeros.

No pics but heres a vid with AB HDs in the same box......major fail. The HDs did not like the smaller box like the xls did. 4DB drop with just a swap to the HDs dry.gif

  8. 2 3ks and 2xls... so 3k per sub before rise. Common walls will be the same number of walls that are actually the box itself. So if your port is using the back of your enclosure wall and the sides then you would have 3 common wall. Are you chasing numbers or taking it to comps? Or is this just to beat on? With that kind of power id stay around 3 cubes if not right at 3 cubes. Port area and tuning will depend on your final goal. Most s10s run port up along the back glass and subs forward. Ive had good luck with port up on drivers side and subs up. Either way sounds like its going to be a nasty dime! Post some build pics when ya get started! :drink40:

  9. port area is kinda small if i remember right its 22.5x2x17 tuned to 40hz and yes thats clamped power

Open the port up tp 18-20" sq per foot at the same tune :peepwall:

I ran 2 15' level 4's in a chevy truck with 20" of port per at 40hz in 6.5 cubes and pulled a 150.9 at the headrest. Chevy truck subs up port up clamping around 1800 watts.
