  1. alright well like it says, this is my first ever from scratch box build..

was orginally just going to have wickedtoys1 build me a box because at the time i was having a relapse from my MS,

but got all that pretty much sqaured away so, I went to home depot; paid crack prices for a piece of mdf and went to work.

got to thank Noobtastic14 (aka drew) for the box design. stayed up till 1 am designing it for me =]

box is 3.5 cubes tuned to around 36hz-37hz

I know I used a lot fo screws but I dont think it can hurt.

like I said this is my first box build, decided against the circular saw and used the jig saw felt more cofortable with the cuts

so the cuts are not all flat and straight

but hey measure about a 1/16 bigger then you want and bust out the sander or plainer ;)

well enough talk and onto the pics.

  4. Steve,

If I could make one huge suggestion FWIW that helped the wife and I get our cars....call AAA Fleet sales and see if they can't find you what you want at a damn good price (and no you don't have to be an AAA member to take advantage of their services).

When we called them and told them what we wanted (about a 15 minute conversation), they found the cars, with the options that we wanted, told us what their price was (about $6000 less than the dealer price). There was absolutely 0 haggling, no salesmen to deal with...NADA. The next day, he had us qualified and had the cars on his lot. We rolled up, spent 10 minutes signing paperwork and left with the cars.

NO JOKE, the whole deal was less than 1 hour at a much better cheaper price than any local car lot can do, and we visited 3 other dealers beforehand. I will NEVER step foot on another car lot again. AAA Fleet sales always for me from now on.

I know im only 19, but my Aunt did this same thing but with our insurance company (USAA). She was buying a new escalade, and the dealerships in town (Reno) at first werent going to give her the amount she was asking for. She called the insurance company and they found something at the price she was looking for but a couple hours away. She went back to the dealership who wouldnt give her the price, and told them theres another dealership thats going to give it to her at that price. So the dealership called the other one to varify they were going to do it, and when they found out they were, the dealership in reno ended up giving it to her at the price she asked.

so with reading both these stories id say at least give it a try. whouldnt hurt

  5. nothing big, just a little somethin for a friend of mine.

    stock speakers

rockford fosgate p1s410 (he wants to get another 10 with another sealed enclosure later on)

he works at bestbuy; hints how everything was bought from there.
