X3...Stick with something 1000 Watts RMS or lower.
you should get a 12" that handles 1000 Watts RMS
or
2 10" Subs that handle about 500 each.
My bad if I gave you the wrong message. Just suggesting some better options at the moment. Anything below 1000 watts is good for a first system because you really don't need to worry about batterys, alts, etc. Instead you can worry about making boxes, tuning, I'm in High School right now and there's kids with their Pyle amps that do "3000 Watts" with stock electical and gains all the way up. I'm one of the few who knows "somewhat" what they're doing. Just absorb some of the things the guys here suggest cause they know what they're doing. Good Luck with your set-up.
BTW- You can still pound with 1000 Watts. Heck you can still pound with 500 watts. It all depends on the enclosure and set-up.

x2 No offense but it doesn't sound like you have very much experience with this stuff. I wouldn't go with that kinda power til you got some installs and trial and error under your belt. And welcome to the forum.

that means i need a second amp then huh
Yes, you need either a 2-Channel or 4-Channel amp. If you're only going to power One Component Set (Pair) then just get a 2-Chan.

So the only way they can get the money is if there is money in my paypal account?
That is correct, unless PayPal pays them because they have that fraud protection where they will give them SOME money back. One time I tried buying a PS3 and the lady who was selling it never shipped it. She kept saying she was gonna give me a tracking number but never did, so I filed a dispute with PayPal and got $200 out of $330 back. The lady had all of a sudden scammed a whole bunch of people. Then she just deleted her account and PayPal only gave $200 back. (I think $200 was the max they could give back for fraud, but now the max has risen.)

damn those are some nice midrange, shit those specs were pretty impressive if they were a subwoofer, guess im stickin with shallow mounts
How about *** Dcons?
-
Frequency Response 40 - 1500 Hz
Exactly, Subs aren't supposed to be playing over 80 Hz MAX.
-
Those are Mid Range speakers.

You guys know nothing about cramped.
-
I'll sell you a perfectly good *** trash 10". Used for about 2 months on ~500 watts.

2 cube will probably be enuff.
are u going to have "feet" underneath the box?
I will only have 2 2 X 4's holding it. I'll take a pic tomorrow of the inside of my truck. But it definitely won't hit the floor. The box sites on a wide hump and the woofer is facing the "Humpless" part on the side. The sub will have about 3-4" of clearance.

Thanks..I just used Google SketchUp.
Does anybody know the Level 4 12" Displacement, and if 2 Cubes is enough? Any body have experience with the Lvl 4" 12 in 2 cubes?
-
So I'm thinking of getting the Lvl 4 12" for my single cab and have designed this Downfiring Enclosure with Port up enclosure. Box is 2.00 Cu. Ft. tuned to 35 Hz. (After Wood & Port Displacement).26 Square Inches of Port, 21 inches in length.
The Website says it recommends 1.5^3 Ported and 2.0^3 For SPL.
Does this box look alright.??
Do you guys think 2 Cubes is enough?
I also wanted to know what the sub displacement is for the Level 4 12"?
Edit: Also gonna be powered by a D.A.T. HF 1000.1 @ 1 Ohm
Thanks,
Danny

NEW UPDATE!!! 2-24-09
YOU MUST HAVE 150 POST TO POST AN ITEM FOR SALE
I only have a one, the rest is common sense.
If your not looking to buy a product that someone has forsale, Do Not Post in that thread, no matter how much you think someone wants to much money or what not.
if you know they are scamming then thats a differrent story, otherwise Shut up, Im tired of seeing peeps trying to tell people what is or isnt a good price on something they DONT OWN.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hate to do this but people aren't understanding common sence.
1. Do NOT post dump.
- Post dump is an unnecessary post
- If you hate the price don't complain about, its up to the OP(original poster) to set his price, other wise PM him/her
- If you are not interested in purchasing item do NOT post
- Posts may be deleted without warning
- Report to mod button is there for the sake of reporting the thread, USE IT
- Repeat offenders will have a short ban from the forum
2. Do not question the moderators
- No need to explain this rule, basically don't argue with them
3. Pictures with your name and date on a piece of paper are a MUST
- if you have time to post you have time to take pics. if not we arent interested in your thread here.
- We have a moderation staff, we dont need 40 members posting that they need pics or it will be deleted, it just clutters up threads and we have to delete all the random chatter to keep the threads clean.
The rules are for everyones benefit, just read them and abide by them its not hard.
4. References will help your sale
5. Do not bump your thread more than once a day
- There is a difference between bumping and updating
- a bump is a term used to move your thread to the top of the list
- do not BUMP others threads
8. Do not ask us to delete your for sale thread, they will be here for archive, we however can lock the thread.
7. Respect each other
8. NO FEELERS
The rules are for everyones benefit, just read them and abide by them its not hard.
If you are a Vendor here with your own Section these new rules do not apply to you
if your in Roscoes thread below this of Super sellers these new rules do not apply as well.

I'm sure no one cares but, I found an amp from that Naim company that British kid was talking about. Seems to be the one.
-
It was hilarious at the beginning when PoorMan was talking shit about his town.
And the part where PoorMan said,
"We're a couple of handsome guys"
Steve-"Haven't heard that in a while..., I think you've been drinking too much of that Extenze"
PoorMan- "What was that?"
Steve- "Nothin Buddy"

I'm a fastfood kinda guy.
