I remember seeing someone with a setup close like this. Three separate boxes with 3 8s. They were truebass though I think. But yeah everyone I have seen in the lower classes especially in as2 are using AGU fuses. I can pull about 80 amps out of my 40 amp without popping it. With that low of power, I don't see how you can actually pop the fuse. What size are you going to use for as2? I know someone in as1 with a saz1500 that cannot pop his fuse at all.

What class are you in and which are you going to? AGUs are mostly used because they are cheap so blowing a lot of them in testing is not a big deal. The filament sizes look the same on ANL and AGU fuses. Its just harder to find bigger AGUs like 150s and higher vs ANL which is easy to find anywhere. However you can just run more smaller fuses. I used to run a 300 amp ANL and now I run 5 50 amp AGUs for daily. When I compete, I just take out 4 AGUs and switch the 50 with a 40 amp.

Nothing wrong with agu fuses. A lot of meca competitors use agu fuses. Never seen one melt besides from over current.

NO TO the FUCKIN NO. I was retarded and cheap at first as well. I bought a bossload alternator and it actually did less power at idle than the stock. CALL DC POWER.

well i checked out dc and i couldnt find anything for a honda(not surprising) and iraggi is what i meant by breaking the bank. i wouldnt mind keeping the stock one in my car if it didnt suck. 90 whole amps.
Call rob at DC Power. Their website is not up to date. Trust me, they have honda alts.
Ask about the SP line and see what the lowest priced alt you can get. -

Rev it to 2k and see if you get the same voltage drop. Maybe it might do rated but not at YOUR vehicle idle.

Drop the YT, and get a different battery
x2. I hate yellowtops, but everyone is right. There is no way that alternator is doing 250s or close if you're dropping that low, if your batteries aren't shit already.

yup. I mean granted I did go from a 600 watt sub to a 1000 watt sub and from 2k (at 4ohms) to 3k (at 2ohms).

Don't have to be "damn careful". Just gotta be smart about setting things up.
But the SSD won't need much space. I cannot comment on the optidrive but the HDC3 likes bigger boxes.
