  1. i have a massive audio DB8000 asking $600 + shipping would take trade for hifonics brz ,bxi 2k or bigger amps or a hifonics amp close of the same power ....this amphas 0 issue's i have T.L 151.4 music with it gains have been set with DD-1 i have agreat chargeing system as well

    the nx4's i am asking $200 for 1 and $150 for the other (1 has a messed up ground that i had to fix old screw with a nut trick) all amps work great and have never seen low voltage as far as i know. i have the box's + papers they came with ...not tryying to make a buck i paid what im asking beside's the messed up nx4 ....my zip is 61462 if you are wondering about shipping

  2. ok so i just spent 2k and 2 weeks killing my self on my build upgraded the wireing batts cleaned it up...etc but today i get a chance to open it up full tilt because my negibors are gone and i have 13.0resting voltage... start my truck and it drops to 12.9 ...wtf? ok so whatever im gonna try this shit...lol

    turn it up and and my voltage does nothing but drop :( i just had my alt repaired for the 2nd time it has only had maybe 3- 4 hours of run time and 2 under a load from a hfi2500.1........ just installed 3 fully charged shuriken bt-120s and daul runs of xspower xplex wire i have 5 grounds under the hood 2 on the alt and 3 on the frnt batt,all my 300 amp fuse's are good,my frame and rear grounds are tight and clean,all wires and batt tremainals are clean etc this alt was fine untill i started my truck today... i did see my voltage in the morning drop from 15.0 to 14.2 slowly over the last 2 weeks (but its been warmer out)

    i called said alt company and just like last time it the first thing said was did u hook it up wrong? WTF im a licanced fucking shop!

    i tear cars and trucks apart daily and put them back together+ i do know what + & - red and black is...said /asked if i might have touched the wires? do what? ummm no negative...lol (mind you even tho im thinking this i was calm and nice...lol) long story short they want me to send it back to them..last time i was blamed and lied to( i used the wrong size terminal ) when the alt got there they called and said it was damaged ...ok i did ship it shity my bad but when i got it back it was still the same case ,pully and the same rear cover that i was told USPS smashed in (still had my install marks and paint on it no dents!) so now im supposed to send it back in and have it repaired even tho i know for a fact i will be charged even tho this bitch was installed right and under warranty. please dont ask me what alt company im not trying to bash said company and get shit talked about me on youtube or here....im not a hater

    so what would you guys do?

    im think im gonna send it to excessive amperage and have a him see if he can make it right and dependable since said company can not even if i pay....

    srry if this is more of a rant im still pissed over my $400 paper weight

  3. drivers door open meter @ passenger windshield 41ish hz 2 fully loaded Fi bl 18"s with all the options walled 13 cf on a hifonics Thor i just upgraded my wire to xs power xp flex 0gauge (2 runs of + 1 of -) and added 2 shuriken bt-120 batts i have a mechman 200 amp alt as well

    not bad for my first major build and on a budget :yahoo:

  4. do you have a check engine light? and what kind of car im guessing a 91-95 Taurus with a 3.slow? it could be any number of thing best thing to do is have it scanned if its a 96 or newer most parts store will scan it 4 u...if its older u may have to take it in to be diagnosed..(this should take a hour or less so 1 hour shop labor) it could be the map sensor,egr valve,even the fuel pump does it spit and sputter when u get on the gas hard?

  5. use some duck tape on the latch hook of the trunk also on some cars there are shields under or near the bottom of the trunk make sure there not touching or not to close to anything...bets thing to do is turn it up and find each rattle and try to kill it with what ever you can if it bothers you

    Which also reminds me... Some cars have these vent-flap type things somewhere in the trunk to allow air pressure to escape when the trunk is shut. Those have been known to rattle

    true my grand am has those they whistled on mine tho...lol

  6. I know this is a dumb question but at what DB level would it be a good idea to disable the airbags....i would hate to be demoing or driving down the road and have them pop in my face...lmao

    i know they work off of shock sensors and sets of impact sensors behind the grill & or bumpers for exsample alot of GM cars have a magnet type deal that if it is jarred and falls it will deploy the airbags....i have a older 95 Honda passport and dont think i am loud enough yet to worry but may be some day soon just wondering if anyone has had a air bag pop or am i just crazy....if so how loud was your set if u had it metered

O'riellys has code scanners that they sell for abs etc if there is 1 near you go in and talk nice and see if they will scan the code fore you...i have the same inovia scanners at my shop i bought from them ...most of the time they have a demo model they will let customers play with ....it should tell u witch sensor it is...write it down and Google it or look in a book on your car ...they may have 1 there if you dont (witch you should have anyway before you try to fix something you dont fully understand) or you can go to all-data and pay the $25.00 for your car and get all the info the dealers do.... good luck

    or just buy the right pad....lol

  8. Was looking into buying one of these off of someone for $200 locally but now that im reading about it, it says that 0 gauge is recommended, problem is I only have 4 gauge and dont plan on having this car forever so I really dont wanna do 0 gauge if I dont have to.

    Can you still run this amp on 4 gauge? I'm getting like 12.5 volts with a Kinetik HC1200 hooked up in the back too.

    one of the best way to kill a amp is to use to small of wire ...the hifonics amps require alot of current to run if u use a stock charging system and 4 gauge on that amp u may as well throw it in a fire and save killing your car.... :nea: get a smaller amp or upgrade ur wire and get some batts
