ive been looking for a while now i was jus wondering if you guys knew of any! ive got my old motor, btw i have a 97 silverado 1500 with the 5.7 vortec.. i hate the intake on that stupid motor.. 4 blown intake gaskets! this time it was leaking water into my oil and i spun a main and rod bearing! soo.. i think im gonna rebuilt it myself i alredy pulled it out and broke it down thats how i know what happened.. and i think i can get a rebuilt kit for like $425 so.. yea i think im gonna rebuilt it!(:
i make sooooo much money off GM intakes what is the main cause of this is the dex-cool coolant used by GM .it after time will turn very acidy and eat the plastic in the cooling system. the way to fix this issue permanently is to get the *fel pro gaskets* lower intake set that's is metal instead of the plastic (its referred to as the problem solver kit) then instead of using dex cool flush your cooling system with water till it comes out clean.(i use a garden hose& air hose to blow the heater core, rad, and heads out be careful not use to much pressure ) put it back togther run with water and clean oil dump oil and water.re fill with all makes all models anti-freeze and fresh oil with filter....i would do this on the new engine and never have a issue again...like i said i do ALOT of lower intakes on GM's & make sure to get all gasket areas lookin new b4 re Assembly ....good luck

its a brz so it should do its rated power so if you trade ur getting screwed @ 1ohm out of 200 watts...but if the RF gives you 100 more watts @2ohm its a tough call.RF i think cost more.but the hifonics amps do sound really clean...i love hifonics amps personally so im gonna say keep the hifonics
-
you will want a 200 rms you dont usually have to worry about peak power on amps as far as the sub goes i wouldn't feed it more than 500 watts myself

Song is called The 808 Track and it's by bassnectar. Slams the hell out of my surround sound system, i have a feeling it'll create mass destruction in a vehicle. Not the low lows unfortunately (maybe a little) but should rattle your teeth...
i would but it wouldn't sound good im tune @28hz for the lows....lol

put a well in there or like dude said x2 15"s

$250 per woofer or total?
be close to $250 per woofer for sundown but very much worth it i have had the sa-12"S and my buddy has sa 15"S and both got down..i had @1800rms to my sundown 12"S and he is giving his 15"s @3k daily and they dont even stink after long play time.. great subs and they dont ever seem to get loose or sloppy ...i would look into the sundowns if i was you... and you will have a hard time getting any 15" that's good for $250.00 a pair...
-
i have had this issue with a couple of hifonics amps and what i have found is they do not like low voltage to the rca's .....after a while some headunits and sond processors get warm and lose out put voltage (mostly head-units my audio control does as well )if you have it ran thro the audio control un-hook it and use the line drive i got a soundstream bx-15 bass machine and have not had the issue since....anther thing with them is they will fade in and out like ur dropping a voice coil if you have them turned down 2 low.... im not sure if this is the same with the colosus but i know the bxi,brz and hifi all have had those issues test the rca voltage while it is doing it best way would be to get a spliter/Y rca and hook in @ the amp test the out put with a digy volt meter.
-
it probably sense's when there is no power draw and shuts off after a few secs...i have a digy fuse holder at my rear bats and it turns on when it sense's a draw and shuts off when it stops dropping...kind of suck when u wanna see ur voltage when ur not rockin out...lol i would say for $5 you didnt get hurt...lol
-
already faved this video on youtube so i can try to do mine right thanks for posting Brian

try http://car-part.com or carquest if you have 1 near you .....i looked on car-parts com but there pretty pricey in you area for a used engine if you want new your gonna heve to spend closer to $2500.00 there are some with less than 100k mile but there in my area and shipping would be high as F**K.. good luck hope this helps

Wrap a wire around the outer casing of the RCA's on the deck and attach it to the chassis of the deck.
huh! never knew that im gonna have to try that some time....will it work to get ride of the dreaded cop car noise?(the engine whine in the speakers)and what are the advantage's of doin this?
and thanks 4 explaining
-
well i tried the ipod connector and the noise went away. im gonna try and ground my rcas and see if it goes away.
noob question..lol
how do 1 ground RCa's and why ?
not being a smart ass i really have no clue & have never heard of this

I have seen this in person, never seen power NIB.... just not what he needed to power to SA12's. good deal for 2200wrms @ 1ohm which is all it will do but for $150ish is not a bad deal at all GLWS

Ok well im about to install a dd z2hv and its rated at 7700 watts at one ohm.so if you divide 7700 by 14.4 you get around 535 amps.if i put 3 pf dc powers 270 amp sp alternators on it will it cover it?they do 180 at normal temperature so that will be 540 amps but like on a hot day they only do 160 which that way will be 480 is that a huge difference to be worried about?i know i will be covered while driving but all these numbers are at idle..
you will need some battery's to take the strain of the alt but you want to have enough batt power to run the amp/amps you are running ....its gonna need all the power you can feed it

what are pulse fees?

I had put on my Facebook about me putting in my sub/amp. Then this guy puts mobile dynamic extreme 15 on 5500 watts will drown that out. So I said cool? Craig butler 4 18's 8 25k watt amps will drown that out. Come to find out its a power acoustik amp so that's probably peak power rating. I can't wait til I get my sub broke in just to see if he is right.
/endcoolstory
if you are set up right you should murder him and his 2100 watts....lol (biggest fuse rating i have seen on there 5k is 5 30 amps 2100watts max...lmao) will be a cooler story when you add you whooped his shit talking ass...
What if someone messes with my truck?
