i have a downfire box, 4 kicker comp 8's, port firing forward, sound great..amazing response, good clarity and its decently loud...definetly sq.
i agree tho, we heard 2 18"s and 4 15"s in downfire boxes...sounded like a midget in a microwave....not loud and sounded bad
lol, haven't ever heard a midget in a microwave.... sounds traumatizing.
a bandpass may not be such a bad idea if hes going to throwing a lot of crap at his woofers

Depends on your goals, you will most likely get lower peak SPL with a lower tuned box, but obviously you will be able to play lower. Low 30's should dip pretty low for music while still giving you good output

that guy is really annoying. and yea, well thats what an autotuner does, obviously you dont need to be able to sing to use one. Who cares if T-Pain can or cant sing

they should take rated, and if ur only giving them 375 now, then an upgrade should make a decent difference

sounds like you could maybe squeeze 2 in. the DD page recommends between 1.5 and 2.25 for 2 8's after port and sub displacement, and the recommended port for the 1.5 cube box is about .3 cu ft, which brings you to 1.8 before subs. those 1508s are just under .05 each, so the total box volume comes to 1.9 cubes. which is pretty close to your estimate, but you would really need to go out and measure it and crunch the exact numbers to see if it will fit

nice work man, that looks good, real clean

where are you trying to put the other port? Just put it with all the other ports, there has to be enough room if the others fit in that orientation

you could always throw it in the kicker recommended box...
IMO WinISD beta is pretty easy to figure out, you just have to make sure to account for the volume the port takes up
