2 subs up and 2 subs back, i think if you do 4 facing up the trunk rattle will be rediculous. And make sure you give the port a good distance of airspace. I would try to give each sub 2.25cubes of space. I have 1 12 cvx in my civic, slot ported to 33hz and 3.8cubes of air space and it slams for just 1.My box size is 35W x 16H x 17D just so you have an idea and my port length is 3"W x 21" total length.
