good luck.....
-
yes that would be fine, you could use prolly even remote wire for an amp.
-
What gauge wire and what size fuse should I use??
It dont have to be thick, your only powering a radio, maybe a 10-15 amp
-
Ok so the other night I got was installing a radio in my 03 Acura rsx, I got all the wires hooked up correctly and everything but the headunit did not power on. I thought this was odd so I hooked up the headunit to a 12v battery to see if it worked and it did. The car also had a aftermarket headunit installed before. I bought a new Acura harness because I thought it could be faulty, switched it out and nothing. I then hooked up the red power on the alpine 9886 harness with the car's red wire and I also added the yellow wire together with the reds and it powered on. Now everything works but doesn't hold my settings and such. Any ideas on what I could do? Basically the yellow wire on the car harness is dead
You could run the yellow wire directly to your battery(make sure you put a inline fuse inbetween) and run the red wire to anywhere that has power when the key is in the ignition.I had an 02 rsx type-s but never had this problem.
