  1. track 16 - A dream - Jay-z /faith evans /notorious B.I.G

track 18 - The art of noise - moments in love

i Used to always say i would jam a slowed chopped version of moments in love when

i got my first ride. (this song is actually from the 80's)

there is a crazy bass remix of that song by professors of funk.

  2. a girl from work told me about this cd.

she wanted me to slow and chop this cd up for her

so far from what i hear Im Diggin it... its nice to have some better talent coming from houston then the normal shit i hear every other day.

Much props for the cd ... so far its been played nonstop in the ride.

EDIT: Holy Shit @ the fact that this is your group. I'm FINALLY proud to say that there is a group out the H that i can be proud of. lol

  3. ya, what program u use, i wanna get back to doin this, i useto use vertual dj to chop n screw but it wouldn't go low enuf for me, but this song sounds clean as hell man good job, n im diggin the chops were they at, i tryed screw lab pro but i hate that thing

    ok heres my secret

    two programs...

the first cool edit pro V2.0(a hacked version of an outdated program)

i think its called adobe audition now....

basicly i take the original song and resample oit to slow the speed and tempo at the same time...

second program (a hacked version) virtualdj V3.1

i take the resampled songs and take a metronome to count the BPM's to make sure i have the right places for the chops.

Virtual dj has a good BPM counter already but sometimes a song needs to be chopped slower then the bpm's allow. thus i count them for the way the chops should sound for me)

i know this is alot of reading but i like to be thorough lol

    and thats it

    :)

EDIT: another program i used to use to resample(it worked great) was mixvibes pro V3.11

although i only ever used the demo and it seemed to pick up a little audio interference sometimes.

but yeah resampling the song is the key to getting the song to sound perfectly slowed

  4. No reason to knock the 9104, lol. It does a decent job in my blazer. (its all i could/can afford at the time/for the time being) What program do you use?

lmfao its done the job the passed few months but bigger and better has been on my mind lately.. its more of the factory head that's the bigger burden.... i just like being able to have people look in and be like "oh, factory head...must not be anything." lol

  5. IMO, you did pretty good. You stayed on beat (which is something I find bizzare. You are a "DJ" but don't know how to keep rhythm). And although you were a little too chop heavy for me (I'm picky about that) you didn't do the whole, "get five minutes into the song, then go back to the beginning thing I hate so much.

Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. There are some areas that (again IMO) could be improved upon, but overall it was pretty good.

Though song selection could have been better. That's a long song normal speed.

    lol thanks i appreciate it

yeah im from houston and through my teen years i grew up listening to Dj screw and swishahouse.

i grew out of it some time ago but got back into it a lil while back.

the whole chop heavy thing i get from some of the old swishahouse stuff where EVERYTHING used to be chopped lol

and i HATE that "bring back" too :| LOL

BUT again thanks for the feedback :)

  6. I know this is my first post... (ive kind of been lurking for a while :P)

i used to slow and chop stuff all the time but its been years since i even touched my stuff so some parts of the song might be a bit off.

i dont know how the song will sound in your rides but it sounds nice in mine.

so leave whatever feedback you like (good or bad) :)

lol ok ok flame the newb who forgot the link lmfao
