We did the 15" MOJO in 4 cubes ant it sounded good. With 2 15's in 8 cubes you should be OK. We were going to swap the MOJO for the BTL in that same box tuned to 39-40 hz. Dont know about the XXX I dont know the specs on those. You have to figure out how much your port is going to displace and your subs though. You might wind up a little smaller than 8 cubes after displacement. 2 beefy 12's might serve you just as well and keep you closer to spec.

I finished putting a system in my Boy's ride a month ago and now we want to see what kind of numbers it will do. From what I can find it looks like we missed all the local competitions in our area, Wanted to know if anyone local could help us out or let me know where we could go to get it metered. We live near Kent Island on the shore but wouldnt mind taking a drive if someone would hook us up.

Sub forward, port forward is what I built for my Son's car. Sealed all around with rigid closed cell foam Still need to seal the old speaker holes. That pounds the hell out of his Mazda and took his mirror off the windshield after 2 weeks. Thats with it only running @ 1200 watts. Still waiting for funds so we can put a 15" BTL or a DC LVL5 in it with the right VC config so we can feed it the 2400 watts he has available. The wiring is all straightened up now but no picts of that. Looks a lot better than the mess in the picts.

X2 on the hometown banks. I switched my account from M&T bank 2 years ago and couldnt be happier. They actually call us if there is going to be a problem so we have a chance to resolve any unforeseen issues. They even clear a percentage our checks from other banks before they actually receive the funds their selves. I was amazed at that one. M&T screwed with our account over and over again. We were constantly on the phone with them to straighten out problems they caused. Seemed like they couldnt wait to slap us with any fee they could dream up. They always reimbursed us after calling and raising hell. The last draw came when they withdrew 2 house payments from our checking account 2 days apart. We have that setup to auto pay. That overdrafted our account and then they hit us with the overdraft fee and cleared out our entire account. I found it out when I was out to buy a suit to attend my Grandfathers funeral and couldnt use my debit card for lack of funds. We called the branch, went into the branch, called corporate and any one else we could. It took 7 days to get the 1,200 dollars that we had in there returned. I had to borrow money from family to get a suit. M&T told us there was nothing they would or could do and to have a nice day. God I hat them Fcuk Heads.

I used the recommended 3" port with my 10"R and got the same annoying port noise. Changed it out to 4" pvc and no more noise. You have to adjust the length when you change the diameter too. Your port placement should be fine. You can have some of the port external if you need to have it that way because of the change in length. You also found out that caulk sucks as adhesive. Use some 2 part epoxy next time and let it harden completely before using the box. Bracing on the inside around the port is a good idea. lanman31337 gave you a good idea. Epoxy the new port to a ring and glue the ring to the box face. That way you dont need to be so neat cutting your box in the trunk.
