Where we meeting? Would love to meet a few members and get a chance to hear their systems.
They have a local meet and show under the Kent Narrows bridge Tuesday nights. I havent been there yet, waiting to get my system up and running.

Rusty, did you run that cable thru the fire wall. I want to fish my runs of 1/0 thru the wall. Just wondering where you found a place big enough to run those monsters thru. Also wanted to know where you purchased that second battery tray from. I was thinking about building one myself but that looks pretty nice.

Im about 25 minutes away, just a few miles past the Bay Bridge in Grasonville. Still building my new setup. Have the box almost done. Want to get started on my 1/0 runs Sunday. I wish I had a nice wood shop again. My shop is filled with metal working equipment now. Will probably be a year or more before I can build a new area for my woodworking setup again. I bet the Academy has some nice stuff to work with.

Now that sucks. Need a good roofer for sure. You either have some damaged shingles or a shitty roofing job.

Im no expert but I will try and help. First, more info. Im just assuming that your running both amps at 1ohm. Also are you running anymore amps for your mids and highs? Battery wise I think you would be OK but for 10,000+ watts I think your going to need another alternator or 2 unless your are just burping the system. Running that many watts continuously will drain that system quickly.
I was recommended to install a 170-180 amp idle /270 amp running alternator just for my 3000 - 3500 setup. Thats for daily driving. Im putting a D3100 in the front and 3 Batcap 800's in the back with a dual run of 1/0 pos and neg.

Sounds like my shop. Damn roof leaks all over my work benches and tools. Have tarps all over everything just to keep the water off of stuff. I couldnt work at all yesterday because of it raining all day.

I dont know if it is just me, but anyone else notice that some songs have a bass that sounds like a WOOP WOOP WOOP instead of a BOOM BOOM BOOM? when a song plays like that it drives me nuts lol I dont know the names of songs right now but I will post them later. I was only wondering if you guys notice them or if I am going crazy lol

I was surprised Shaq did so well. The difference in their speed was amazing. Shaq looked like the Incredible Hulk compared to Oscar. Definitely had my attention last night.

You can also do as Derrick suggested but that would have to be done before you put the box together. that and drop your router base down a bit so you dont cut too deep with the bit and leave the depression on the surface. Should be a smooth transition to the sides of your box. Unless you were doing that to leave a gap to staple into for fiberglassing. Just a guess.

On a complex curve like that you cant use a 3/4" roundover on a 3/4" piece of stock. There is nothing for the bearing to ride on. If you do use a 3/4" bit you will have to leave the bit raised somewhat so the bearing can ride on the edge. That or use a smaller radius roundover.

The gamers are getting what they want from their GPU's. The memory is not as crucial to them as the frame rates the video cards they are using are. Thats why you will see video cards filling up every hard core gaming system. I dont think the average Joe would ever be able to tell the difference between a system running 4 gigs or 16 gigs of memory. Maybe if your doing some major CAD or video rendering you would want to fill them to the max.

Forgot a few things.
Connect the wiring from the case to the motherboard for the power switch, reset, hdd read etc. I usually do this as soon as the boards mounted. Those connectors are small and my fingers are big.
You will probably have to go into the bios, usually F1 when the system posts. In one of those categories there is an option to set which drive the system will boot from first. CD HDD0 HDD1 FLOPPY. Make sure that the first device to boot from is the CD. After the operating system is installed you can change it back to HDD0. It will boot faster if you do because it wont look for media in the CD drive every time you start the system.
There are a few settings in bios that can be tweaked. Not sure with some of the newer boards but I used to have to enable Number lock, so when the system boots you dont have to hit the number lock key to enable it every time on your keyboard. You can disable floppy disk drive seek if your not installing a FDD.
You might not even have to worry about pins on your processor. I installed an Intel Quad Core months back and I dont believe that new setup even uses pins anymore. Think the pins were in the board. Just cant remember for sure.

Most of the other settings are taken care of automatically. When you finish making changes hit F10 and save changes.

You can visually check the pins on the processor and see if they are bent. They are usually packed very well and never a concern. I find stuff like that on my old hardware thats been moved around a lot. Just take my fingernail and bend them back. The processors are also keyed, only go into the slot one way. One corner is missing a pin so its obvious if you look at the bottom of the processor and the mounting socket.
Hardware is pretty robust and after messing with them for years I have become pretty desensitized to damaging stuff.
My computer in my shop is just a board and drives and the powersupply screwed to the wall and shelf lol. No case at all

I have built a bunch of systems and never realy worry about static discharge. If you dont go around in your sox rubbing them across the carpet you should be OK. I just try and not touch any of the contact points with my fingers and handle just the edges of the cards. For ease of installation I usualy mount the processor and fan to the board before installing the board in the case.
So In order.
Install processor on the board then mount the cooling fan.
Install the board with the processor in the case.
Snap the ram in the ram slots.
Add any cards that you are installing, video, wireless etc
Install the hard drive/drives in the drive bay
Install the CD drives
If your installing multiple hard drives and or drives with older IDE cables pay attention to master and slave settings on the drives.
Install all the SATA and IDE cables
Install the powersupply and make all the power connections.
Maks sure, double, tripple check that your processor fan power wire is connected to the board before firing it up.
It dosnt take long to fry a processor that isnt being cooled properly.
Sometimes because of the design of the case you may need to put certain components in before others because of fitment issues.
And most important, keep your beer well off to the side so it dosnt spill on any of your new toys

Your build looks nice, nice and loud! You had a big crowd gathered so it must have been an attention getter.
Where did you get the black vinyl you wrapped your door panels with? Im looking for some to wrap my sub enclosure with, preferably an online retailer. Never worked with vinyl before so Im not quite sure what to get.

I cant believe I missed that Saturday. I saw the car in the parking lot but never got a chance to hear it. I missed the 2 loudest setups there, that and the Xterra. What number did he put up with that setup? Thats just nasty violent.....in a good way.

Been messing with audio for many years but am just starting to get serious about it.

port looks to small...whats the tuning?
17.75 x 7 shooting for 38-39hz. Im going to measure it again and check the final volume before I glue and screw the face on. I used 15 sq in per cubic foot.

what car was your. ans the car that inpressed me the most was the nissan xterra. he put down a 160.1 and did it with out a sweet.
I got there after he did his run. I heard it was impressive. I was listening to his Xterra while he was playing some Pink Floyd at a pretty good volume. Sounded amazing.
I was in the green Silverado Extra cab. I think I was the last one to do the Showtime. I didnt compete in the event. Mainly went to see what it was all about. I will be competing next year for sure. Wont have my truck done and bumpin for a few months unless some money falls out of the sky into my lap
