How wide is the port? Should be as far away as it is wide. Thats a general rule.

Stop pushing on the cone. Problem solved. Seriously, if it sounds good when its playing and you cant hear any weird noise coming from it when its playing I wouldnt worry about it.
-
what big mono amp you going with?
Dont know yet. 2 - 5k or 1 - 9k or one 1 - 12k. still thinking about it.
-
Mine will be shipping soon. I should have ordered some lanyards and a few T-shirts. Saving for a big mono amp to add to the setup.

He shipped for the price set by Steve which I thought seemed fair. RIght now Im just happy to have it all come to an end. It sucked to wait so long but its good that I didnt loose a bunch of cash. Im not gonna complain. I have been talking with Joel ever since he bought the company so I have been in the loop for quite a while. Anyone trying to seek compensation a year or more later will probably not have as much luck. It never hurts to call and speak with him. He is a straight up guy to deal with as long as your expectations are reasonable. Got to remember that these guys didnt screw anyone, Steve did. If your gonna call and act like they are scamming assholes like Steve was dont expect to get anywhere.

Took a long time but my patience finally paid off. Joel and Tye came thru and delivered the D5's I paid Steve Miller for way back in December of 09. I had originally purchased 2 of the 3250 v2's but paid for the upgrade to the D5's after returning them. I cant thank The new owners of RD enough for getting me the amps I paid for way back when. Joel is a stand up guy to deal with and has kept in touch with me thru out this ordeal.
Now im thinking about a new build. Still in the planning stage but I have something loud planned for another vehicle parked out in the driveway.
BTW these bitches are heavy

Anywhere from 12-16 per net cube should be fine. 1 cube per sub should be fine also. Wouldnt go any smaller though. Does Rockford spec a recommended size for the sub? I would try and stick as close to that area as possible. My 10's are in 1 cube per sub net and do just fine.

The console moving up and down when you played Comfortably Numb was crazy. I have to hear this soon. Cant wait.

Should be a blast. I know I love my 10 - 10's.

I love your Jeep Boyd. That is an amazing ragtop for sure. Your tearing the interior to pieces I see. Good stuff.

5 cubes for 9kw.
Also I'd stay away from the Brazilian amps, just me though
X2 on the 5 cubes net.
Im one of the lucky ones that has had good luck with Soundigital amps. Im running 2 8000.1D's and love them.

Turn that shit up!
Its one of the things you will notice with videos of Trippi's Hummer. You can hear the highs in the vids while the subs are getting it. In most vids the subs drown out the mids and highs. Trippi's mids and highs are so loud you can hear them over the bass. Its crazy loud. Like you need to walk 50 ft away to try and talk to someone loud.

Look on Parts Express. They have pre built 2 and 3 way crossovers for DIY speaker builders on their site. All kinds of goodies for speaker builders on the site.

Very nice work. Love the finish on the last one.

Lets try again. Thats a net size your talking about. The remainder after sub, box walls/bracing and port displacement. If all you have is 6 cubes gross your looking at a 2 - 12 box, a single 15 box or a single 18 box. The 18 would be sub specific. Some want larger boxes. Fitting a single 18 would still be difficult if built right. You may need 1.5 - 2 cubes just for displacements.
Dont try and put a bigger sub in your setup than you can fit. Smaller subs in the correct box will do better than a sub in the wrong size box.

When is Eric gonna get the new power plant? He's gonna make them 10's cry when that beast goes in there.
