The article is all about Ricks shop and what he does for us bass heads. I just happen to have a pict of my truck in there. There is no other shop that comes close to doing what he does for us. We get a place to go play every month and go crazy with our systems. When the weathers nice we usually demo all morning and then compete all afternoon. He also holds sanctioned events that draw a larger crowd down to the shop and to the Hoops Bar and Grill parking lot. Most of the people coming to the regular shows are driving 50-60 miles each way and some 100+ miles to get there. Its always worth the 1hour+ long drive for me and my Son's to come out and enjoy the day. Rick even forks out for some very nice trophys for the first place finishers. Some of the sanctioned comps dont have trophies as nice as these.
Much love to Rick and all the good people at Pulse Car Audio.

I will say this. Its nice to see a shop who cares about the people that put the money in their pockets. there arent alot of shops who go out of thier way to throw a show like this. When I get the truck done I'm going to have to make that trip down.
Everyone there is like family. I felt welcome from the first show I attended to the last. Truly a great bunch of people to spend the day with.
Looking forward to seeing you down there soon.

I was shocked when Rick burped that 153.
-
Thats the DD Beast. A single 15 no wall Metro that will do a 156+ with the right sub in it. It did a 153.? yesterday with a T3 T600 on a Powerbass 5000. Its a bad ass little car.
The best of show usually goes to Nick or to Dicky and Teresa Boswell, the owners of the DD Beast.

Rick just shot me a text of the article written about The Krankin Kristmas event that was held yesterday. I found the page online and was stunned to see my setup as the first pict on the page. A great write up about Ricks shop and all the good people that regularly attend the PCA shows. Always a great place to hang out and play with our systems.
Take a minute to read the kind words from Caraudiomagazine.com and check out whats happening at Pulse Car Audio and with Team Deadly Hertz.

Looks very nice. I really like the amp rack and the baffle on the box. Looks clean. A carbon fiber wrap would look awesome on it. Cant wait to see more.

Enjoy what you have for a while. Thats a good setup for a freebee. Hang around for a while and do some reading and checking out the members builds. You will be upgrading soon and be as broke as the rest of us lol.
Welcome to the site.

Thats enough for me. Just enough to make things pretty but not enough that I need to shovel the driveway

Its snowing in Kentucky? I want some snow.
-
No matter what speakers you try and put in the kicks you will probably loose that foot rest. Mine aren't nearly as deep and I lost 3-4 inches of foot room on the side. Something custom in the doors would probably look better too.

A bunch of T600's or even T400's would move some air for sure. I love having a bunch of subs in the truck. Fun to watch and fun to play with.
-
I would try and keep it around 7 cubes net or a little smaller and use 35 - 36 hz tuning. 15 sq in of port per net cube should be fine.

What about PCA? lol
Team Deadly Pulse... lol
TDP FTW!
Were sort of like an EMP but wont harm your equipment. Just shake it up a bit ;D

lol thats why i asked, i have an 08 tsx, the trunks pretty big for a sedan IMO...but im trying to fit 2 SA15's in a ported box and im worried about the box being so big that it messes with the air flow...
A very easy thing to do is make a mock-up of the box. Measre the trunk and openings to see what size box you think you can fit. Figure out what size the box needs to be based on those specs. Get some cardboard and fab up a box the same size as the one you intend to build. Just use some tape to hold it together. It dosent have to be pretty just needs to be the correct size. Then try and fit the thing in your trunk thru the lid or thru the rear seat opening. If it fits your golden, if it dosent figure out what adjustments need to be made and try again.

Satellite sucks for gaming too. I used to try and play Unreal Tournament online with it and all I did was get my ass killed all day. Horrible lag. Its great for a faster connection when no other options are available but thats about all its good for.
-
That port looks huge for a single 15" sub. Do you have the box specs?

Then mark the calender in June!
You know my Annual St Judes show is the largest show in the Northeast! 55 competitors this past yr raising over 4k!
Will do. I havent been upstate in 25 years. Think im a little overdue.
-
Im coming up there for a show next year. Im waiting till all that snow is gone though
-
Its still in the 60's still down here. Hopefully the weather will break after the comp. I'll give you a demo of the Silverado if you make it down.
-
Good to hear you have some real power under the hood. Cant wait to hear your new setup. You coming down to Millersville for the DB Drag show at Ian's shop?
-
Im adding more power to the truck. You better hope those woofers get you more dB's cause your gonna need them
My box will look even better with those beauties in there. Cant wait to hear this at Krankin Christmas.
-
If you want to try a T-Line I could do that too. Will see what I can come up with for the Chodette box v2

I feel this way every time I demo now. Most people think its insanely loud and Im thinking " I need a little bit more power in here. I wish it was a little louder" .
The low notes are crushing and violent but after a few weeks of getting used to it I want more. At least I want it available if I want to hammer on it. Im adding a second amp very soon so I may get my wish.
