  1. Yeah, can't say I was thrilled with the song selection but if we all liked the same thing it would be boring. How are you liking that HiFonics amp? What other sub amps have you used and how does it stack up against them?

    looks:10

    price:10

    quality:9.5

overall, this amp has done me pretty well. only problem i ever had was that you have to mount it somewhere where it can breathe or it'll go into thermal overload after about a half hour. other than that, it's a really good amp.

  2. Looks great man! Keep them vids coming, You got some good flex their.

thanks a lot man. i'm convinced that this camera sucks lol it picks up the woofer movement well, but the sound is pretty bad. i made 2 more vids before my fellow marine neighbors came out to chew me a new one lol but the sound it out of sync with the video and i dunno how to fix that. any suggestions? i may just post them for the heck of it.

  3. I was having a little conversation with a buddy about car audio. Now. He doenst know much. He thinks JL Audio > GOD. He also thinks Hifonics amps are the tits. He made a claim that the 12w6 subwoofer has never been blown by anyone. I called BS, he got sentenced today for some stupid shit he did in the past and i wont see him for a few years, but it made me wonder if this was a valid claim.

i own a pair of 13w3's and a hifonics bxi1610, and they go together like fat kids and cake. only problem i'm having is that amp overheats quickly. you gotta mount it in a well ventilated area of your car. i have to run my a/c in the back just to keep it from going into thermal protection. other than that, its all good ^_^

  4. I've seen 1 10 in a focus flex the roof and pound. Honestly it really depends on the car, box type and woofer. Unless you throw thousands of watts in subs and amps in there. People hate to hear this but it takes testing, testing, oh, and uhh, testing.

    x2 :good:

  5. okay, i'm gonna ask this question under here, what causes flex? the box type or the woofer type?

when you say "flex", are you talking about the excursion of the woofer, or the metal of your car flexing? if you're talking about the woofer, it depends on the "xmax" or the "throw" of the woofer. the longer the throw, the more air can be moved. if you're talking about your car, it's the sound pressure your subwoofer creates. i'm sure some more experienced people can help ya out with this one.

  6. Well, i would get your electrical system up to par befor you spend all that money in equipment.

Power Wire/RCAs Go there for those..

Alts, Dual/Triple/Quad alt setup, you should be fine with Dual 160+ alts or even a really good 200+ alt )

    DC Alts # is 888 441 0144

Or hit up Mechman on this Forum and get a PM for price

Also think about getting MLA if you dont get a external regulator

Its not in stock, but i recommend a few Kinetik 2400s

also replace your stock batt with a lower version of these

Do the BIG 3 with 0/1 gauge from Knukonceptz

    Dynamat

    what's MLA?
