Personally I dislike JL Audio for many reasons but if you like them and you paid for your W7 I suggest getting a ported box for the W7 with dead exact tuning/dimensions of what they require to bring the best out in the sub. Maybe one of there H.O. Wedge enclosures?

Hey guy so recently i was given the oppurtunity to purchase a 12inch titanium elite woofer from phoenix gold. I am currently running p1000bd to my 13.5 W7 in a sealed box.
So my question is should i purchase the TI Elite and get a box built? or just stick with the 13 W7 and get a ported box built? Also how does the TI Elite compare to the JL W7?

Thats whats up i havent found any good shops in North Jersey. I live near Philly so i use a shop call Auto Security and Sound. I think im going to go with a 15Dc Lvl 4 when i get one. I cant wait to switch it up ive been with JL for a while

Hows everyone doing, My names Devin and i have been into car audio for about 5 years now. Im an enthusiast who just loves bass and quality products. I dont know everything about car audio but i do have some knowledge. Right now im running more of a streetbeat system, but in the future i will be doing a competition car with my father. For now i jsut want to belong to a group where everyone gets along, and knows their shit. Im located in NJ so if there are local clubs cool if not ill join some guys online. Thanks Devin

Ok so the amp is 1 ohm stable correct? so how many watts would be going to the W7?

i have a mercedes ml and im currently running the p1000bd to a 13.5 W7 in a sealed box. It bumps pretty nicely but im gettin a ported box built. Question is what should i get the box tuned to, also if i crank the gain up to about 8 or so should i be able to push this sub nicely.
ps.
I hear the w7's dont like to be ran at an ohm so should i just run it at 3ohms?

Yea man im looking forward to this event im bringing a buddy along with a pretty nice setup hopefully getting him to compete. I was looking forward to seeing the HHR in action but its cool. I will find you at the show as long as the weather holds out.

I will check into it because the guy that it came from said he liked it but bought a mtx9500 instead and just used it for beating around the streets and didnt know much about the speaker. I know it doesnt smell fried the leds light up but ill have my installer check it out.
