  1. I want to avoid getting a new one, at least for the time being. Shit cost like 70 bucks out here, I don't have that kinda money right now. Now tell me something, if ya filling up every two days you'd think there was a problem too.

    Just tried cleaning it, sprayed carb cleaner inside. got it as dry as I could. Don't think a few small droplets would affect much. I turned the radio off and listened to the engine. Now the rpms are going up,down, up, down....think I'm looking at needing a new IAC.

    did you let the engine sit there and reach full operating temp, then let it sit another 5 minutes or so?

    edit, when doing this dont turn ANY accesories on, keep the radio off, keep the lights off, everything.

  2. I'm going to try cleaning the iac when I get off work today. I do have a cold air intake on it, didn't seem to affect the car when I first put it on. I've had the battery disconected a few times so the ecu should relize its there already.

    well when you let your car sit there and idle, let it get to operating temperature, and just get out for 15 minutes and let it sit and idle. the computer needs to learn its fuel trims basically.

    its only bad if you rice out the thing with a body kit, neon, and a shopping cart wing, or have a completely stock motor with a fart can and bolt ons, and race some z06 and lost because your vtec didnt kick in hard enough lol
