What would be the advantage to the "upgraded spiders" and the "aluminum pole plug?
-
a little while ago I had two of the earlier nightshades and they had the triple stack and I know the newer ones do too. but the current ones are still being developed as they are having a v2
May i ask what subs you are running now?
-
Alright, thanks! Good to know!
The one that i have the opportunity to buy has the triple stack magnet?
Is that the most current set-up? is it a good motor?
-
I have the opportunity to purchase a Used 18" nightshade...
I will be powering it with two DAT 1000.1's strapped...
Im guesstimating it will see around 2600w RMS...
Will this be too much for it?
My other sub option is an 18" DC lvl 4 XL
Thanks guys!

I'm shopping around.
Let me know what you got, play time, and how much you want for it. Must be D1
Thanks everyone

There really is not much you can do about a CD player that skips... Your best bet is to upgrade your head unit...
-
Looking to pick up a DAT 1000.1, if anyone has one, let me know.
Thank you!

What the title says, Looking for two 12" DC Lvl 4 Xl's...
PM me
Thanks

I would think running a d6500 in the front and a d3400 in the back would be plenty... but i could be wrong..
-
No clue... never heard of any good ones around me either.
Lets just host one in a few months, lol
-
I just shoved a retainer in my mouth that i haven't worn in 3 months...
FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Trying to keep my mind off it.. come on pain killers.. worrrkkkkk
Im kidding with the title btw.. lol
EDIT: For your entertainment
-
Ouch... i kicked a plastic chair once and damn near broke my toe... fuck that.
-
I also would like to know what amp your using to push those?
-
Lookin good, im excited to see a video!!
-
Why we knockin him?
This is cool man, good stuff...
I like it.

How low a sub hits is more dependent on the box/port tuning than anything else...
4 12's gives you 452.39 square inches of cone area, 2 18's gives you 508.94 square inches of cone area.
2 18's would be louder, but the 18's require a pretty damn big box...
4 12's also requires a big box, but it should be a little smaller than a box for 2 18's.
And no matter what subs you chose to go with, if any at all... the RF 2500's will be good.
A better battery in the front, and at LEAST 1 (preferably 2/3) big ass ones in the back.. And no optima shit.
big 3 in 0gauge is a must, and a h/o alt would be recommended...
EDIT: Changed the Sig for you boss

Im loving this build man!
Alot of people do stuff like this is Pontiac Fiero's.

Does anyone have any clue what the cheapest way to ship this would be?
I may be interested but the thing weighs 77lbs and UPS quote for UPS ground is like 80 bucks, and USPS doesn't even ship anything over 70lbs...

I posted this too a while back, but still funny =]

Thanks Nathan,
Just so you know, i never intended to insinuate that Kinetic is better...
I just kinda wanted a coparison.
I will be going XS, keeping my eyes open on the FS section for some good used ones, and if no luck, just gonna have to buy new =]
Thanks again everyone
-
So basically get the bigger battery for the stock location, and the smaller one for the reserve in the back?
And just so i can get a better idea of XS vs Kinetic (im not saying one is better than the other)
Which Kinetic Battery most closely relates to the D6500?
-
I was thinking of replacing my stock battery with a d3400,
And getting another d3400 for my trunk...
But before i buy anything i want to know what the difference is between a battery that is group 34, and group 65..
Because i could fit a d6500 in the stock battery position, but thats expensive.....
Would i be better off getting a d3400 for my stock location, and then getting a d6500 for my trunk?
I was looking at kinetics, and planned on getting 2 khc2000's.... but im thinking i may be better off with XS?
So yeah, lots of questions.. but mostly, whats the difference in the "group" batteries

I have no experience with the kenwood... but i do own the 9886...
I wish i would have went with a different head-unit.
It is direct connect for the ipod... but navigating through all of your songs is a pain. (takes forever
EQ settings are lacking on the 9886, it has Treble, Bass, and subwoofer level.... Thats about it. You can get the imprint tool.. but im not paying 200 for that 1 time use tool...
The fact that you have to hold the back button every time you want to go back in a menu, its a small annoyance, but it bugs the hell out of me...
The "pretty" display settings are lacking... there are only three background effects..
To see the time of the day you have to hit the display button a few times, it cant show you the name of the song... and the time??...
Overall... i paid 200 for my 9886 new, got a good deal... but im very disappointed by the unit.
Oh, also... i have a 2ng gen ipod touch.. it doesn't charge it like its supposed to.
I would go with the kenwood... simply because im not very happy with my alpine
EDIT: i just looked up the specifications on the Kenwood... get the kenwood..
lol

Lol... so far i have gotten each answer except for B...
So i set it by ear, lol. Turned the HU to 26/32.... turned off al adjustments.. and annoyed all my neighbors with a 1khz test tone for 10 minutes..
I would still like to know the correct answer though, haha.
What exactly happens if a box leaks?
