  1. So, I previewed some of these tracks on iTunes not knowing that it was religious rap, and the bass and beats are crazy and loud!! So I don't know how it'll turn out for you guys, but try them out. It isn't all about God either. The track 'Blow Your High' is straight slamming bass all the way through.

    Artist: Lacrae

    Album: Rehab: The Overdose

Dont make that a selling point because Lecrae is a non-secular artist. If you like Christian music don't act so ashamed, if anyone gives you any shit, Ill make sure that there banned. :) Lecrae is the shit, carry on now.

Didn't mean to reply twice. Haha.

I appreciate that. I wasn't trying to make a selling point, I just didn't know any other way of explaining what he does. No doubt he's awesome though. Thanks again bro.

  4. Any time at all. If you ever sell any sound system things or computers or music. let me know. I am glad that it worked for you. lets just hope you can recover your hdd and that it didn't completely die.

I downloaded and burnt the Linux OS to a disk, but that's as far as I got. When I put the disk in the crashed computer nothing happens.. I'm real stuck now. Do you suggest removing the hard drive and taking it to a computer shop to have the data moved to the external hdd?

  5. Okay. Well, I remembered a program that you can use. auto converts it to pc format for you to. Since im not the best direction giver i figured you could try and keep up with a youtube tut that i found. (he's using an older version but it is basically still the same. seems to work with Vista so it should be able to work on windows7) Let me Know if that helps.

It worked!!!! You have no idea how thankful I am for all your advice and help!! I appreciate it very very much. I will let you know how the hard drive recovery goes. Thanks again!

  6. Well, If you have the music on your ipod and want it on your computer then that is not a problem there is a way to do that. i believe windows 7 is just like vista. i have a windows7 laptop. this pc is vista. and my other computers are xp. I ahve to many computers to keep track of. got 2 here in my room. got 3 laptops. got got another 7 downstairs and one in the basement lol. Yuo can give this a try it should work for you. saves a lot of time too i mgiht add.

    1. Connect the iPod to your PC. If iTunes starts syncing (ie erasing) your music automatically, hit the X in the upper right hand corner of iTunes display, to the left of the search box, to stop it.

    2. In Control Panel, Portable Media Devices, double-click your iPod.

    3. Navigate to the Music folder.

    4. Select all the music folders, and drag and drop them into a folder on your hard drive, or directly into iTunes.

And you’re done! The iPod music folder structure is strange and inexplicable, but once you move your files into iTunes you can set it to automatically organize your folder by artist and album to clean that up. (To do this, in iTunes Edit menu, choose Preferences and in the Advanced tab, check “Keep iTunes Music Folder organized.”)

All your previous help will not go to waste, I plan on recovering EVERYTHING on the crashed hard drive. I just wanted that to be known. But back to the iPod problem. That's exactly what I have..a problem. When I go to the start menu and click Control Panel, there isn't anything labeled Portable Media Device.

  7. I may be a "noob" to sound systems but Computer use to be my life. had my own since i was 4 xD was a huge gamer. then learned much more about computers and stopped gaming. recently i just stopped gaming and got interested in sound systems instead of computers anyway. Don't thank my yet not until the job is done. hmm. i was going to d/l one of thoes of the link you sent but then realized that I don't currently have any burning software on my pc (hmmphh how did that happen. I always have one.) You should not "have" to buy anything. No need to be sorry either. Questions help us learn. You can use one of the ones from that link or you can use http://www.linuxmint.com/download.html that one. or you can get ubuntu. there are plenty of choices. I would recommend that you get a live cd for an OS that has a "desktop" so you can see what your doing instead of just sending it commands.

This has been such an awesome convo. Very helpful. Although the process will have to wait till tomorrow, but I will definently let you know how it goes. But I think I may have found an easier way. But there is one small simple thing stopping me. Are you fimiliar with Windows 7? I just recenetly got a dell laptop with Windows 7. I have had XP for years. When I'm on the "My Computer" panel...there isn't TOOL option, or VIEW, or FILE. Is there anyway to access those options. I'm VERY new and this may solve the whole hard drive problem. I just want to be able put my music on a hard drive, most of which is on my ipod. But as you know, you can only erase and sync on iTunes. So I'm able to go into the ipod on the computer and bring up the music files IF I can uncover hidden files. BUT..I can't find a TOOL option....I'm clueless.

  8. Ok, Well we will give it a try. First thing you will need to do is burn a disk with a "live" linux OS. (as long as the hdd that crashed originally had your OS on it) Then stick that disk in. let it launch up. then you can mount and browse the "crashed" hdd and copy files from it to another drive or storage area. Hopefully you can burn a disk. If not then your trying to stump me. (there's always more than one way to skin a cat) No, Guarantee's that this will work. but, this is the cheapest, fastest way. Let me know if you need help with anything else and if it worked or not.

Do I just download linux OS from here: http://www.livecdlist.com/pclinuxos and burn it to a disk? Then put it in the computer? I have an external hard drive, would I just hook it up via USB and transfer all the files that I want to there?

Any "LIVE" OS should work. Meaning No INSTALLATION to the computer. you simply put the cd in and the OS loads. From there Yes you would put the disk into your pc. and then navigate to your "crashed" hdd(since you said your a computer noob I expect you will know how to do this). plug in your external hdd (with your usb port) then you will be able to transfer your files to your external hdd(drag and drop/Copy and paste)

(sorry I am not the best direction giver ever but if you have more questions feel free to ask.)

You're doing a fine job. I just feel terrible for being so clueless. So, should I download from the link I sent you, and burn it to a disk? Or is there something I should buy? I'm so sorry, I'm just a dirty window and I need more Windex if you get where I'm coming from. I just don't want to download something that's unnessecary. Thank you so much for all the help.

  10. Are you near that PC now? If so. open up the side of it. then turn it on. and try and see if the hdd makes a humm or vibrates or something If so then we are in luck and we can recover your data. if you don't know for sure we can still try.

btw i have had problems where i turn my pc on and its just a black screen when i thought it was the hdd it wasn't and it really was just the power supply. so your hdd might not be the problem but i am 8 0 % sure from how you explain it that your hdd crashed.

I don't hear or feel any violent humming or vibrating that isn't normal. The only thing that is humming is the fan.

  11. Need some more details. Did the HDD crash? What type of error did you get? Blue screen? won't boot? black screen? says no op system installed? or what? I will be glad to offer some assistance. Depends what type of crash it was if it can still be recovered or not.

When I turn the computer on, it says Dell and goes through the auto adjust, and then the screen just stays black. It almost looks darker in the center with lighter black on the edges. At that point it just stays there.

  12. Hopefully there are some computer nerds/geeks out there to help me. Don't take offense to that, I'm one my self, just not as skilled as others. A noob you could say. But enough of that crap. I have a dell tower that has either crashed or just won't stop bitching. I have hundreds of gigs worth of music on one of the hard drives. I was curious if I would be able to remove that hard drive from the tower safely, and transfer the data from that drive to an external drive that I have. I'm not able to access the computer, only the set-up and system diagnostics. Can anyone help? Please? I'm in quite a pickle...

  13. Lol play it in WMP and you can see it bumps :) but got damn you! now its bugging me I can't figure out what song it sounds like, somethin from Zaytoven or Drummaboy so its gotta be a Gucci or Zoe song

Hell yeah, it's definently a Gucci song. I'm gonna be up all night trying to figure it out. If you figure it out let us know.

  14. Sorry to say, but it is the original song.

I listened to the song and it has way more lows then you would expect.(i have god headphones, but still couldn't hear the (low) bass.)

But on my TLine tuned to 27hz :P it is low and loud.(and i have much less cone area then both of you :P)

EDIT: you're probably tuned to high. :P

Wow, Ok!! :] Thanks. I should've plugged it into Audacity. I'm tuned to around 37HZ but I didn't try the song on the big system yet. Just on a dinky computer system. Thanks for clearing it up for me.
