I like the newer xxx's they sound super clean.. Like a JL W7 on crack...A LOT OF CRACK.
Oh and they look better IMHO than the W7s

That's so true. I used to have a 2008 Memphis Mojo 12" & a JL 13" W7 also and my 12" XXX totally blows them away.

That sucks. If it is a serious problem, are you sure you want to take the risk of joining the army and then have something bad happen? Hopefully you will be able to get a waiver and join. I'm an E-4 in the Navy, but I'm planning on joining the army soon. I'm in Iraq right now with a CA Brigade and I kind of like the army alot more than the Navy. Hopefully everythin will work out for you.

with a ported install do you think 1 12" xxx would beat a 12" solo L7, L7 is on a kicker 750.1 amp and the xxx would be on a DC 2000.1 amp most likly.
I used to have a Kicker 15" L7 in a super bass pro ported box on a JL Audio 1000.1 and it used to hit very hard. My 12" XXX Is way louder and has much better SQ. You should get the XXX.

Not as long as your bulbs are yellow or orange. In Florida two of my friends actually have blue turn signals, but I guess they are just lucky not to get caught with them.
