  1. Have a little problem i just recently built a 8.8 cubic feet box tuned to 36hz for my two Aq sdc 16 subs and i want to carpet it.

Problem is a long time ago i used 3m adhesive spray and it worked at first but after a while in my truck the carpet was ripping off and essentially the bond was not strong like when i first attached it.

I need to know what you guys recommend me using just got my carpet from the mail not too high quality but it looks good. I heard about contact cement but when i tested it on the side panel of my box i let it dry but when i put my layer of carpet(which i also put cement on and dry) it would not stick not even a little. My contact cement is from home depot i think water based but what did i do wrong? Is there a product you recommend? I have a feeling the wood is sucking up all of the layer of contact cement im putting so when i think it is 'dry' really the cement has gotten sucked in by the wood. Please let me know.

  2. The PassLock on my Grand Prix took a sh*t this weekend, and stopped sending voltage to the switched wire on the starter solenoid (the purple wire for those 3100 owners.) I am thinking about wiring in a pushbutton for this input so I don't have to start my car with a wrench constantly (not reliable at all, plus it will probably kill the starter real quick.) I would like to have it on or under the dash but I could stand to have it under the hood for simplicity's sake. Anyone know what I need to do? Is it just like a remote wire or does it need to handle some amperage?

    Thanks for the help.

when my switched to my solenoid went out on my pathfinder and i didn't wanna fix it the right way .I wired some 14 ga. primary wire from batt. to a flip switch then wire from the switch to a push button starter then from that to the starter solenoid and i ve been using it that way for about 6 months now and no problems so far. i use the switch to take the constant power away from the push button so it lasts longer, or so i ve been told. hope that helps ya out some.

  3. Hey guys I'm not exaclty a total noob at snowboarding but im going to buy a decent board here soon and i was wondering what boards you guys use and what boards you'd want?

i'd love to have a burton or a high end board like that but i can't afford it right now... any suggestions?

GNU Carbon High Beam. I ve had one for 4+ yrs. and love it for a big mountain board. costs about $320 though

  4. Im putting it into my 94 GMC Jimmy. And I think im going to just order the 693. Anything I need to know about this when I actually have it up and running?

just be sure to take it out of demo mode once you get it wired up and turned on then enjoy all the settings and features. haven't had any issues with any of them we've sold .

  5. Hmmmm. I do like that it has alot more options so I might just order the 693 and call it a day lol.

What Head Unit is better in terms of pre amp voltage and just performance??

same preamp output on both decks cause there both excelon models. the 493 is probably better if your gonna put it in an older car you might take off roading. might take a beating better being more basic but overall the 693 is a better deal. especially when its only like 30 bucks more . def. get the 693

  6. The screen on the 693 looks like shit to be honest. So im glad another person likes the X493 as do I.

the 693 is just this years version of a 692 not the 493. the 493 is the new version of a 492. the 693 has a usb cord that comes out from the back of the deck so you can mount it where ever you want within 2-1/2 feet from hu. the 693 has more options like multicolor display, 5 line display so you don't have to wait for everything to scroll to see what your listening to. the 693 folds down to help keep the dust out which is nice! 693 also has more options in the menus and a really cool x-over feature that the 493 doesnt have. just my $.02.
