  1. alright so heres this, I have an ~80s Truck stock wiring harness for the light system etc..

I run a set of 35w. 4500k hid . I do NOT have no problems with melting my housings or wires.

I had to buy a set of aftermarket housings because my truck is Sealed Glass bulbs normally..

but ya um ddm tuning is a GREAT place to get the HID kits from. way better than ebay. stay away from xentec etc..

I would get the 55w ballasts though. they will be Much brighter, I am very satisfied with 35w though.

    10/10

  2. Input Gain Adjustment Control

Set the MRP-M1000 input gain to

the minimum (4V) position. Using a dynamic CD

as a source, increase the head unit volume until

the output distorts. Then, reduce the volume 1

step (or until the output is no longer distorted).

Now, increase the amplifier gain until the sound

from the speakers becomes distorted. Reduce

the gain slightly so the sound is no longer

distorted to achieve the optimum gain setting.

    so.. I need a 50HZ test tone?

    $ Bass EQ Adjustment Knob

Boost the low frequency output of the amplifier

from 0 dB (flat) to +12 dB. Adjust the Bass EQ

(centered at 50 Hz) to suit your personal taste.

  3. my Gain is half way at "NOM" and Bass boost is at 10db

and as far as electrical, I have 4ga power and ground wires,

and as for the "big 3 " upgrade..

I couldnt afford 0gauge.. So I used some of the left over 4gauge..

  4. I just picked up this amp. its an alpine Mrp m1000. I have it powering Two 15" SVC 4ohm Fosgates.

I have the subs wired to 2ohm. Positives and negatives ran together..

    the amp specs are

    RMS Power Rating:

    • 4 ohms: 600 watts x 1 chan.
    • 2 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 chan

But when I play it at 3/4 volume the amp gets hot to the touch. and the bass seems weaker..

    what can I do..?
