  1. What the heck is Disc Golf and where can you go to get the discs and how would i find out if there are any courses around my house ? It sounds interesting from reading the posts

there is a few in fredburg and a bunch around you.

check out this site and you can see where the fredburg ones are and the others:

    http://www.pdga.com/courses-by-state?Searc...&order=city

as for discs your best bet is either off ebay or http://poorboydiscs.com/.

but if it is possible before you actually go out and buy discs try to find a local course where you can rent the discs and do that the first couple times to see if you will like the sport, if you do then go buy you some discs.

  2. I finally got around to ordering a USB cable for my video camera and got some videos I wanna play around with. I'm looking for a good video editing program (not something like windows movie maker or whatever), perferably free or cheap, and fairly easy to use. Anyone know of some?

Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas are really good, but the others listed will get the job done ten fold over windows movie maker.

  3. dekalbs course sucks balls

we should meet up at campton and play 2-3 rounds/or anywhere else

when hole 6 was broken on the ground (the short downhill shot) i got a skip ace... and 7 was aced last year with my leopard and a hyzer forearm shot with a putter

jericho is ok... i like the front 9 the best, the back is more so just flat and back and forth

ive played at pretty much all the courses in northern ill

krape park in freeport is nice but its a drive... u need to go to Anna Page... 2 18 hole courses... one built in 1984 the other in 2004... both are long and hard with no water hazards

No aces here yet, I have been real close a few times though, I have only been doing the 2-step backhand shot for a few months now, before I was doing the stand still. I can throw about ~250-280ft now, I am hopin to improve and reach that 300ft mark in the next couple months.

  4. i play star and champion cause i hits trees hard

my favorite courses close to where i live are:

Channahon, Il - Channahon Community Park

Rockford, Il - Anna Page Park (illinois championships)

Mokena, Il - The Oaks (illinois championships)

lol I x2 that about trees, if I dont hit atleast one through 18 holes something aint right. and that reminds me I need to pick up a Leopard, those are nice discs.

    my parks are:

Newport News - Newport News, VA

New Quarter - Williamsburg, VA ( Hole 18 is 600+ ft)

    Dorey Park - Richmond, VA

Bayville - VA Beach, VA ( Nice course, u have the choice of playing the yellow tee or red, each have separate baskets)

and while looking for the others I have played, I found that there are a shit ton more then I thought

  5. i play daily. There are some nice courses in the suburbs of chicago. One of which out by lombard i believe they have pro tourneys at. It really is a blast. I got a good sized group of friends who we all go out when we can. Usually get a round or two right before sundown while its not too hot.

Course we have is a short course but its alot of hills, so you if you play a few rounds you can say you got some cardio in, lol.

nice we have around 5 or 6 in the surrounding area, I have played at all of them except one. The one I played mostly last year called New Quarter is a extremely nice course and def. will test your ability on that one. And I def. hear you on the playing late to beat the heat, usually go around 5 or so, they have weekly tourneys @ newport news park every tuesdays about that time, thinking hard about joining up and seeing what I got against others.

  6. I've been playing for about a year and a half now. It's a fun ass game and can get pretty competitive. The discs are like $10-$20 a piece depending on which ones you get, so it's a hell of a lot cheaper then golf. Most courses around me are free but the one I go to the most, Newport News Park, its $2.15 for a full day or $20 bucks for a season pass.

Anyone else play or even heard of disc golf before?

  7. I just found my buddy i used to work and used to be my roommate was found dead in his apt over the weekend. A few ppl have brought up suicide but knowing him it isnt. By no means would he take the cowardly way out. He is not a coward and would be the first person to tell u to fuck off if you crossed him. My ex and I got to talking and we think is has to do with his medical condition. He has an enlarged heart and his drinking problem didnt really help with it. I will know more in a couple days of what actually happened.

RIP Nate-dog you will be missed.

    sorry to hear that bro

  8. Well I guess the deal is, even though he has paid me for it, if he uses it he will have to pay rental fees for having the box. I didn't know this.

I've told him I'd give him his money back but it's gonna have to be payments, and he's expecting me to give it all to him by the 16th... hell I won't have that kind of money by the end of the month.

Either way, I still don't think I should have to give him his money back, he just jumped right on this, asked no questions, didn't bother trying to get me down in price, nothing.

I'm more worried about the cops.

I'd tell him to kick rocks, the cops won't be able to do anything seeing as it was a legit sale, both parties got the goods, he got the pvr and you got his payment. Let him bitch and moan over it, maybe next time he won't be so quick to buy without research first.

  9. Im starting a build today for (2) 8" L7s 2 Cubes After Displacement... Wat Size Round Ports Would Be Adequate for the enclosure, Imma tune it roughly to 39-40 hz? I have 3" Pipe Available ATM... So Im thinkin (2) 3" ports Wat would the length be. Box is goin in a 01 nissan sentra Trunk box..

    Mahalos Brothers :friends:

    Smokey

Looked on CF for you, seems they recommend not going the port tube route.

Recommended Vented Box Volume: The vented enclosures incorporate massive slot-loaded ports with ultra-low air velocity and hard-hitting bass. These are not your traditional port tubes; the slot-loaded ports are integrated into the enclosure design.

    * Compact: 0.66 cu/ft; 1.5" x 9.5" port opening; 19.25" port length; the woofer can handle up to 375 watts RMS (187.5 watts per voice coil)

    * SPL/Deep Bass: 1.0 cu/ft; 2" x 9.5" port opening; 21.25" port length; the woofer can handle up to 375 watts RMS (187.5 watts per voice coil)

    Hope that helps some
