I have done some quick searching and can't seem to find any answer. I remember reading somewhere that it was bad for the amp. So, if the box is properly built(3/4" MDF and good bracing) is there any problem in mounting amps to a box?
-
I would change it cause I have OCD when it comes to stuff like that but you should be fine.
-
Do you have your amplifier power wire and your RCA cables running close to each other?
-
Is it only when the volume is at 00?
-
I'd say demo each others cars and let the systems speak for themselves.
-
Two D925 should be good? Just checked the catalog and they are good for 2500 watt burst. Also, where can I get pricing info on XS? I can find Kinetik but not XS.
-
BUMP. Does it look ready to go or am I missing something?
-
I wouldn't want to let it get any lower than 13 volts but that is just my opinion.
-
It will help, but cant say just how much.
SAZ-1500D on the way? Better get second battery and upgrade the one under the hood.
-
What did you get in there? Sounds like a bad situation.

I say moto metals. I'd go for 18" wheels though with 35" tires. It is all up to you though.

HAHA. Try Phoenix, AZ!

that is one hot blonde.... damn
she looks too young though.... heh
Looks over 18 to me

Well if it is quiet low power it shouldn't hurt them but don't quote me on that. Depends on what type of signal they are getting to do that.

I have some polk audio 6.5" comps. model is MM6501. They sounded great to me hooked to a T400-4. Got pretty loud too in my civic too.
-
Well if the noise stops when you pull the rcas from the amp then its not the amp. Next step would be to reconnect to the amp and pull them at the deck. If it stops then as well then it is the deck. If it continues, rcas are the guilty ones.
-
Disconnect the rcas from the sub amp and see if it still does it.
What deck do you have?

Looks like I just lost the game.

Yeah I really like it. I have a blue point as well. my grandfather gave it to me but its just been chilling in my tool box. Iv got a pretty old fluke too, but i dont use it bc its not as easy as my ideal, the ideal meter is auto ranging= way easier to use.
Yeah, auto range is nice, my blue point does that as well.
As for subs question. Are your rcas on the same or opposite side of the car from your power wire?
-
RF POWER all the way.
-
The other wire goes from your engine block to ground. & i got an IDEAL dmm from lowes for $60. I just went and bought the best one they had & its probably been the most helpful tool iv bought.
Sounds like a good deal right there. I'd say any cheaper than $50 and the accuracy will be questionable. I got a Snap-On Blue Point one for a little over $200 but I did that for other reasons than audio.
-
For a decent one I'd say close $100.
You can find them cheaper than that though.

1.There is a thread here somewhere for proper gain setting.
2.Not sure about the skipping. Could you elaborate a little more?
3.You may have a big voltage drop.
Here is a link to that gain thread. Click Here

Well if you can do it more power to ya. You could sell the boxes too, and use that money for some MDF to build a box.
Is mounting amps to the sub box bad?

I figured it wasn't a good idea, I just wanted a second opinion and I got several. Thanks to all. I just have my ex cab ranger to work with and I've got 3 amps to throw in there. I'll try to figure something out.
