If you were somehow able to get that together and be stable, it would be extremely small.
Not even sure that is possible.

meh sounds like roided up lawnmowers to me
A lawn mower that could cut an entire football field in 30 seconds. HAHA.

STI ftw! sorry.

How did you like the sound quality out of a ported box with those? I am thinking about getting some in my ranger. Sorry to go off topic. Looks like it was a sweet setup.
-
What diamonds did you have?
-
Not sure exactly what you are asking. Make a sub box out of the 6x9 boxes? Or the 6x9 boxes made you think about building a new box?
-
I love them. Will never run another speaker.
That's a pretty strong statement. Must be pretty damn good speakers.
-
I see you have Focal in there. Are they really all they're cracked up to be?
-
You're welcome. After all, we're all here to help each other out right?

Someone correct me if I dont explain this correctly. It is used to match up signal from the HU to the output of the amp. It is one of the knobs on the amp itself(also referred to as input sensitivity). Along with your HPF/LPF.
-
wow im an idiot i thought it said 2/3/4 amp but i gues not.
Now were talkin'. I've never used alpine amps but that should be great. Just set gain properly and you are good to go.

NP. I am not familiar with many amps but I have had great success with my RF T400-4 and that would power those speakers nicely.
-
There's no possible way you can blow them out through your H/U!! Just get a good 4 channel amp and make sure the gains are set to the halfway mark..
May not "blow them" but damage can be done. Halfway mark? I'll admit, I am guilty of the "ear" method but using an o-scope or DMM is the true way to set gains.

Is that 37 out of 40, or, between 37 and 40? Usually you should never turn your head unit all the way up. If it starts popping at 37 then dont go ever 36 You will do damage if you do that too much. Try using the EQ to give less emphasis on the lower frequencies. See how that works. If you want to go louder, get a good 4 ch amp to push them.
-
So even if they make these little pop noises when i start to actually turn them up they arnt messing up.
If not what do these pop noises mean.
Do you have a lot of bass going through them? You can drive them to over excursion and cause damage from blasting bass heavy stuff without the power to control them.

I actually had the previous year model of those (SPS-69C2). They took a couple weeks of daily commuting for the tweets to settle down a bit. An amp will help them sound much better, and louder too.
-
How long does it usually take to break in new speakers also after breaking them in can you play them a little louder than usual cause im scared to go louder cause i might blow them.
What speakers are they and what are you powering them with?

:hairtrick: im thinking of getting a Rockford T1500-1bd
its going to go into my Infiniti Qx4 and power my Rockford Fosgate P3D212's (i have 2 of them) im going to wire it up at 2 ohms Link for Amp
i also have a 2 farad cap in the car,
do you think this is a good idea?
As long as your electrical is sufficient then that should work well. I have a T1500-1BD and my birthsheet said 1222 watts rms at 2 ohm.

finally hooked up the ground, but i never thought of this, its always displaying my volts even when the truck is off, this wont drain the battery at all will it, being left on all the time and the truck off for long periods?
My digi fuse block would shut off after a few minutes of no volt change, and come back on with volt change(starting the engine or bumpin with the engine off). LEDs draw very little power. In the milliamps somewhere (dont know exactly). It would take a long time for that to discharge your bat. How long exactly? Hope someone else can share that info. It wont be overnight thats for sure.

ITS ALL ABOUT THE BOX!!!
Permission to make a sig?

So I got Battlefield 1943 a few days ago, and I have to say it is one of the most fun games I have played in a while,it only has a few maps and weapons but I find myself addicted to it, and might I say it has the best graphics/effects I have seen in an arcade game....I.E...Destructable Enviroments,Explosions,etc....
So have do any of you guys have it, or have played it, if so how do you like the game, I think the developers could have a good thing going if they were to throw some DLC into the mix.
Do you mean 1942? Or is there another sequel I don't know about?
Edit: Oops just realized it was xbox.

I've got a 40 farad cap at the house i have been thinking of using but it will only smooth the power out, not really do the same thing as a battery will. I would only use one if you already have the needed batteries and alternator. That being said I would go with a HC1800 in the front and a 1400 in the cab for a 3000 watt system.
I just bought my yellow top a couple months ago too before I had this build in mind. :shot:
Idea While Bored.

So you want to take the 6x9 boxes apart and use what you can? Or only use the wood from the boxes? Cause there is not enough material there I think. you would be splicing pieces together.
