ok guys here is my problem, i have a memphis mojo 4kw and about 2 weeks ago i was driving and nothing worked my voltage dropped and came back up and continued to do so i unhooked everything from the battery thinking my battery was bad so i take it to look looked at and the battery was good with 12.9 volts. so today i decided to take a look and check wiring and found that my ground had come loose so i put it back on tight checked all other wires and it blew my fuse, amp didnt turn on. so i go down and buy another fuse thinking i blew the first one cause i hooked it up wrong or something and as soon as i start my car this one blows WTF i dont get it!!! why would i keep blowing fuses? any help would be greatly appreciated!!

so i thought today was gonna be a great day....i was suppose to get my new memphis amp that i have been waiting for (i just got it) but noo theres always gotta be something that ruins my day. i was driving home and i guess i was in a 15mph zone which i knew i was approaching one but didnt think i was in it yet so this cop behind halls ass lights and all and pulls me over says i was doing 38mph i was like holy shit there is no way but i didnt argue since i didnt want a huge ticket since i just blew all my money. i was thinking hey maybe he will just give me a warning since i havent gotten a ticket but nope comes back with a fuckin 431 dollar ticket, i was pissed to say the least! no idea how i am gonna come up with that amount of money in 30 days, i have prom and shit coming up so i have to actually work my second job i gueesss. it sucks but shit happens.

dude go for it. working isnt what pays more. my dad used to always say to my brother why dont you be a lawyer or something? dont be a car mechanic you wont make money. but thats dumb. my brother loves cars and he gets paid to do what he loves. whats better. waking up at 7am and wanting to stay in bed because you dont wanna work or get up at 7 and jump out of bed because you want to go to work.

that is how most of them become paid firefighters. well atleast the ones i talk to say they volunteered then got hired.

damn it sucks, have had my car searched twice within like 3 weeks and both times they didnt find shit and wasted my time i was like wtf did i do? both times it was cause i was out driving around with my windows down at like 12:30 pm(going home, had just got off work). they said i looked suspicious. i was pissed!

there is one place around here where cops are firefighters. everyone works as both. but ya man, go for it. im starting the police academy this month.
after i graduate im thinking about either going to the police academy of firefighter training....i dont know which one to start first?

When your on as a FF for 12 or 16 hrs that's what you are, and when your on 12 or 8hrs as a cop that's the job your assigned to. They don't call you to do another job different from the one your assigned to at that time.

The depts I know of that are triple cert have you work the 16 hrs of your shift as a FF/Medic and the last 8 as a cop. I know others do 12hrs as a cop an 12hrs as FF/Medic. Sounds like a sweet setup and the boys I know that work at those depts make some decent money and love the job.
like mxman38 had said what if your busy with one and the other needs you? what do you do then?

well my only advice is my knowledge. Im almost 21 and have been working for my county for 3 years. I am in school full time and hopefully soon will be able to test on to be a sworn in officer.
Its just that once u take that oath even on days off we have to call officers in to redo this or sign in evidence this way. Being called out at random times in the middle of the night to investigate a scene, take pictures, etc. What happens if your at your FF gig and they need you, what are you going to say, "no im busy at my other job ill get to it when i can?"
Side jobs a couple days a week for straight days seems to be the thing to do, but in my opinion i would stick to one and go with it. You need to be 100% focused on either job because you cant afford to slack in either environment.
yeah true that, i get what your saying but like devilman said you can be trip certified and have you on all three on your shifts. but i dont get how that would work.

I've been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 15 yrs and I wouldn't do anything else. I wake up every 3rd day and am happy to go to work. As far as being triple cert (FF/Medic/Cop) there's a few depts here in texas that your on shift as all 3. It's a pretty decent paying job. I recommend the job to everyone, dude I get paid to hang out with my buddies and have fun, plus the chicks always dig fireman!
all the FF i have talked to have loved it also. i have also been into all of them and how do they have you on as all 3 during one shift? and yeah buddy, most chicks think its hot

I dont see how your going to be both unless you work at a small department where you can work a certain shift.... but if your on patrol or doing any type of crimelab/forensics i dont see how you could swing both jobs?? can you enlighten me maybe im just ignorant. I just dont know one cop on our department over 160+ that are both
i didnt find that ignorant at all, it was acutally a good question. but down here in Fl and most other places F.F. work 24 on and 48 off but are only allowed 3 days a week to work so i was thinking that maybe on my off days as another job i could be a cop. not sure if its possible but im still looking into all the details, i dont see why i couldnt do both. or if worse comes to worse being a firefighter you can switch shifts with people and plan out your year so maybe half the year i could be a firefighter and other half a cop?!?! like i said still doing research. if anyone has any info i am willing to take anything you have.

Dude if you really like it GO FOR IT like.The best job is not the one that pays you more but the one where you enjoy going to work everyday.
good advice, gotta do for the majority of your life why not enjoy it. but yeah i have done some reading and research on them both and they both sound like things i enjoy now.
