Get on a meter and do a sweep, then take what it says your peak was, and do a few burps below, at, and higher than the peak freq. from the sweep.
When I do a sweep it says my peak is 35hz, but if I burp it at 37hz I gain almost 1db.
All vehicles and setups are different, only way you'll know is test, test, and test some more!

Just get a blank dustcap, and get a glow in the dark DC sticker made, put it on dustcap and you'll be straight

I am mostly curious as to why the beer was not drank when it was bought?! Beer doesn't last long 'round here.. Hahahaha

The name escapes me but he had the silverado with 4 SMD 18s in Hawaii?

I have one XL 12 tuned @ 40hz with a fosgate T1500bdcp but I missed my opportunity to test it a few weeks ago cuz of the weather. I'd love to find out what it does, could anyone help point me in the right direction, I only ever had my systems tested at car shows when db drag was around. I'm in central pa
If you're willing to make the drive there is a dbdrag/topdog event in Delaware next Sunday. You could test there

EDIT: double post. My bad.

I used the CD to tune, but always use my iPod, haven't had a problem. Hell, before I had the DD-1 thrown on it with the CD, I tuned it with the iPod and it was spot on with the DD-1/CD combo.

Yes there will be a difference with the 220a alt compared to your 120a alt. I have 2 d3100s and a d4700, 200a singer alt powering my aq3500 @ .5 and I normally drop down to 13.1. You're headed in the right direction but I think you'll need a bit more electrical

Cool video.
But wtf was up with the duct tape around the positives/negatives at 5:42??
one of the competition orgs here requires that the terminals on the bats have to be covered to prevent say dropping a wrench dropped back there from shorting the bats
They have to be covered up on the amp like that? Weird.. Haha, was just curious what was going on there!

Kicker ZX300.1, I didn't start out too bad
-
I'll get one 3400 then, most I can afford for now.
Then save up, nothing worse than rushing. If I was you, I would get 2 D3100's in the back and call it a day.

Any sort of bracing inside the box? Just curious, never saw you say anything about bracing

I think the 9500 series are not neo motors with an RMS of 1500. It's the Z series that is. Correct me if i'm wrong.
You're correct. The Z is the neo, but the rating on the 95 is a joke. That thing will take abuse.

I sort of agree with smashedz, manufacturers rate subs certain power for a reason. Just because other people can throw a crap ton of power at certain subs doesn't mean anybody can. Your problem sounds like an excursion problem though which is weird... because when I had my 4 sa-12's I could full tilt them on a sweep that went down to 9hz, never had a problem with my tinsels due to "slack". Sounds like a problem with your box.
-
Wish they were available for MINI Cooper's, even though I'd probably be the only person to buy one... Oh well haha
-
After so much power, you aren't going to gain anything from giving it more.. It does have mechanical/thermal limits.
So my advice is give it rated power, and then go from there with your goals.

My aq2200 isn't enough for my z it's just begging for more
How exactly does a sub "beg" for more?
-
Never knew you could buy the the clips. Thanks for the info!

Looks nice. Not sure how similar those A-pillars are to mine, but how did you remove them without breaking the clips that latch them in place? From what I have looked up, they are a 1 time piece.

Eh, I had my SA's wanging full tilt minutes after I got them installed. No problems.

Congrats on your purchase, I know you'll like them!
best sundown subs to play loud rather than low
in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!

SA's do get loud, try a different box design out.
