Hey guy's my battery is resting at 11.70v after my car sits for a day or two. I know my battery is good and I did my big three and my voltage is at 14.68 at idle so I don;t think my alts bad. What do you guy's think the problem is? BTW the batt is a wetcell from Batteries plus. Do you guy's think a red or yellow top up front would help?
Def. My yellow top rests at 13.0 volts.
a resting voltage of 12.0 is considered dead for most 12 volt batts IIRC.

I dont know but my head unit only has one "sub out" so i had to use a Y adapter for both the RCAS.
The RCAS came with a amp kit. i think boss
Is that what might be causing it?
What type of amp? Two channel?

It could have been a forklift but I don't think it was I run one at work but that don't make me a pro but it wasn't that big or deep. The foam deff protected it, I inspected it very good. I was just a little worried when I first seen the hole.
I have to say UPS lost half of my liftkit for my Toyota. They delivered a open box to my door and left. A signiture was not required, I had to open a claim with them. So I guess they all have horror storys about them.
They could have just tapped it. I've seen a few forklift holes at my current job. If they just barely tapped it, it would be shallow. It could have also been kicked really hard.
My UPS has never given me any problems. sometimes I've even received my packages 1 day before scheduled delivery!

My dc lvl3s came fedex too. The one box looked like somthing got punched throught the one side. Luckly the foam it was packed in protected it. I feel for ya man my heart sank when I saw it on mine. Good luck to ya.
They're called forklifts. And it happens quite often with Fedex. That's why I go UPS, even if it is more expensive.
I hope you filed a claim anyway. If it had a forklift hole in it, it's possible they dropped it half-a-dozen times. or more.

It's looking good Steve. I like the clean look. I'll bet it's nice having a computer right there next too you whenever you drive.

iirc all of his 2500s do around 2400W at 2Ω and around 3300W at 1Ω. How ever keep in mind that he will be running them at .7Ω. so theoretically they should put out around 3400 - 3600W each.
Please correct me if i'm wrong
It will be about 1 ohm after imp. rise (I think). But they're rated 3300 and 14.4 volts, and he's at 15+, so it'll be a good 3400 or so per amp.

Lambo doors on anything other than a Lambo don't work right. One person had some on their Mustang and when it started raining, the Mustang flooded.

That's awesome. That's one of the rare few videos of the true destructive power of a Chuck Norris Roundhouse kick.

I'd'a blown up in the dude's face and started yelling and screaming and cussing if that happened to my brand new, shiny woofers! How'd you keep your cool enough to inspect them? I woulda just gone off the second he said one of them was opened!
Sorry it happened. I hope they are ok.

your gonna laugh..
the wire that the coils on the subs are connected with are schosche (stfu, its the only 12ga wire i could find at the time) and then when i had my box built by mike from AMI creations, he pre-wired my terminals with.. i wanna say, 14-16ga wire? not exactly speaker wire, normal wire it looks like thats been twisted
It's cool. My first speaker wire was a walmart 10 dollar special.
but def. replace the wire. It is very easy to break. I'd say that's the problem myself.
-
It could have degraded. what brand wire?
Do the 9 volt pop test with the wires connected and see if it works. If it doesn't, it's the wire.
-
LAWLZ, we got 2 skittles now.
good luck with the system. IDK what mids n' highs sound good, but RF is a good brand.
-
wall socket? lawl
LOL.
Nope. I was talking about the output of the amp, but I didn't read very well. My bad.
-
well i connected the 6x9, it worked.. shit,, subs wont play so they gotta be blown.. or something.. now i cant test with my DMM cuz i accidently left it on ohms when checking output voltage, and it aint working for shit now.. so i pulled the subs, smelled them.. no bad smell or anything, they smell like a sub.. cones on both subs move fine, all tinsels appear to be connected...
but if the subs are blown.. i dont see how they could have.. box is built to their specs.. SSF is set to 25-30hz.. so they couldnt have bottomed out i wouldnt think.. they never recieved clipped power.. i bought them in march BNIB on ebay.. better hope that place has a warranty i guess..
Ooops. Sorry that happened. I know another way to test output but you have to be VERY CAREFUL!
I won't tell you unless you want me too. But do so at your own risk!
-
Put the HU and everything on your normal listening volume, and use a DMM to check the output voltage. If there is none, the output's gone.
Also, do the same to the RCA's just to double check.

i can see all the messages i have received but every time i click sent messages its empty, i have also tried to get the messages sent to me but never works.... does this work for anybody?
You talking about getting a copy of the sent messages to keep for yourself? There's a check box under the message area. You have to click it every time. I never use it, though, so I don't know how to make it do it permanently.
EDIT: Yo sig is funny. LOL.

it wont even install. I have a card that goes into the side of my laptop with a ribbon cable that goes out to a white ".net" box. Its one of the originals and Wayne wasnt even sure he would be able to get me up and running - i may have to sell it and get a new one. No hurry, it only does a 134.8 so a TL isnt a priority. The RTA is though - i may be able to find an iphone app with RTA that would work good enough. It just sucks because i got a G into my TL meter and the software license to run it, i shouldnt have to.send me your laptop ... you could keep windows 7... and do a dual boot with xp... that would fix the 1000 dollar tl problem.. you'd be able to pick which os you want to run
^^ this
Does the company still carry the software online? If they do, download and execute it and it should install. If it does, run it in compatibility mode. I did this for my wireless card and it worked. If not, ignore the bold part.
And the hoe is awesome. I nearly blew my computer speakers watching the video (they were attempting to reproduce the bass, )
And to c1performancea, post your request in the "Subwoofers/Enclosures" subforum.

Thanks guys. I guess I'm just afraid to do it in my own. I'm not very handy and I've had bad experiences in the past with wires/electrical. Plus I have absolutely no tools. lol
I PM'd Red Navi to email me the picture of the big 3 on a Civic and I'll take a look at it and if I feel comfortable maybe I'll take a stab at it. I can borrow tools from my buddy or even my father-in-law.
I didn't think I was pushing enough wattage to need a 2nd battery? So what exactly are caps good for? Anything?
If they have voltmeter's on them, they're good for measuring voltage. Other then that, they're only good if you need to get rid of large sums of money before the police find you.

none yet, i still need to get my termlab RTA working again - windows 7 doesnt get along with termlab.net (my setup).
tonite was teh first night so i have lots of tweakin and eq'n ahead of me
Exactly what happened? Did the program install but not run right? If it installed, right click the trash and click properties. go to the compatibility tab and select "run in compatibility mode" and select which OS the TL was originally released for.
I hope that helps.

Nope, not at all.
:o
*downloads Avast and installs it*
thanks.

I use Avast anti-virus it is supposedly used by the CIA, but they offer a free version at Avast.com. It is good for 14 months and once it expires, you just get a new registration key. It doesn't slow my laptop down at all.
do you have to pay for the new key?
-
yea i do, and i am running a scan on Kaspersky, ill post resultswill do, it wont be done till late tomorrow, about ~720gbs of data FTL
So, how' it go?
I use bitdefender 2009 free edition. For now. It expires in 90 days. Expiration timers FTL.

I think i payed 2.59 for regular unleaded yesterday i think. In Nebraska.
and anyone notice that you get HORRIBLE MPG on 10% ethanol gas, who suggested that we put that in gay was crazy
Yeah. They started putting it in because environmentalists said it would lower emissions. They didn't count on the lower MPG though. And it clogs up your fuel filter faster.

2.6xx
That's for Premium, too.

I'd honestly recommend an XS or Kinetik. I have a yellow top because I got it a couple of months before I joined this forum. Optima's require a LOT of care and attention. Took me 3 months to get mine up to 13.0 volts (It rested at 12.6 when I got it)
This.
