Tin the wire with solder till it's coated all the way through. Then use a bench grinder to grind it down till it fits.

I'm not sure, but I've heard that a 33% increase in power will net you at or just under a 1 db increase. You have more than a 33% increase in power, so it really depends on the vehicle.

That's funny.

No pics of the goods come on plz... Looking good so far. whats it going in? and I think the box is ported if so whats it tuned to?
FAIL! LOL. J/k.

No. Not unless it's for burps or possibly bassrace. (but I'm unsure of the bassrace part).

That's a Metaphor. A "Ferrari" in sound/audio system terms.
I think he knew that...

wtf at yella...
anyways, i doubt the wire back in the day is any better than today's wire cuz how much better could it get? wire is wire lol. Whether it be copper or aluminum or copper clad alum, quality of the material wouldn't change.
I dunno about 20+ years ago, but nowadays a lot of companies put plastif in the center of there wire and call it something fancy (like Monster Cables "flux shield", more like flux shit) and sell it for 5 times what it should cost. Wire like that is basically 4 gauge being sold with a 1/0 gauge label. Not all companies do that, but some do.
That's not to mention the thickness of the jackets...

Has anyone used Audacity 1.3.9? I'm wondering because it's still in Beta. Should I download the most recent stable version and wait for 1.3.9?
-
Understood, but damn, no more DC Power raffles. =(

Looks good man. I used to do vid editing on the side a while ago, but haven't in a while. I know how hard it is to get a song to line up with the vid.

They don't look that bad, but would be good on a racetrack. I don't like the look of the wing.

just so im clear, what you are suggesting is that i do not connect the computer to the HU, just go striaght to the amp (unless a line driver is needed) then it would be computer - line driver - amp.
Yeah, the more equipment it has to go through, the more the distortion that could be created.
You can go through the HU, but if you do, don't got beyond 75% volume on the computer and HU. (and you may need a line driver between the HU and the computer, depends on the voltage the audio outputs)
As for touchscreens, IDK. I'll do some research, but I've honestly never seen a 10" touchscreen. I've seen 7" and 15", but that's the closest I've seen.

I agree with BOON. But eitherway, Win7 is an excellent OS, you'll be happy with what ever you choose.
Yeah, I'm a happy customer.

Im sorry, but I have to say this:................................ Heres your sign......
Like the guy above said, you might want to consider checking the dust caps for heat every now and then. Man, sorry this happened to ya, but you know for next time.
X2
And you'll need a recone. If smoke was pouring out of the port, your coils are probably gonna be black.

i need help finding 4 good 18 inch subs.
im stuck between
audioque
digital design
cactus sounds
fi audio's btl
atomic
can somebody help me find a good brand to use. thanks
I don't know if the audioque will take 4200 a piece. The BTL should as long as you don't clip it. IDK about the others. Maybe someone will chime in and help you out some more.
ok tahoe.. zero gauge wire.. six kinetic batterys.. stetsom 14k2d does 16800 at one ohm so ill have it down to 4 subs so around 4200 a sub.. and it will be in a wall. -
What car? Where will the subs be located? Wall or no? What kind of power you thinking of runnin? Have you decided on an amp? If so, what kind? What's your electrical like? Do you want loud daily or high numbers?

Honestly, if you have a 64-bit processor, you'll notice the general windows core will run faster under 64bit, and if the programs you use have 64bit versions they'll run better than just normal 32bit.
<I.T Manager, Web Application Developer>
Awesome. Thanks man. It definitely runs better for only 2 gigs of memory.
Thanks for all the help guys.

I woulda gone 32 bit. No point going 64 bit if you only have 2gb of ram, you're literally gaining NOTHING due to the fact that you can already address all of the memory, and you're getting any complexity/oddities of the 64 bit OS. The rest of the stuff (DEP and such) is relatively trivial compared to the driver issues you may encounter on 64 bit...
Too late for that. But it runs dang good. As a matter of fact, I'm posting from it right now! It's awesome. I like the looks.
Anyway, I'm downloading the needed files such as Adobe flashplayer. I had some problems loading the forum, but it fixed itself after an update. Right now all the banners at the top are fuxxord up, but I haven't refreshed since i downloaded flashplayer. I haven't had one problem yet, but I'll let ya'll know if I do.
EDIT: banners work now. Not sure what I did, but all updates are now download (holy S, it's fast at teh downloads).

And it hasn't snowed here for a while.
But thanks for the advice.
I know it's been a while, but I'm getting them this weekend (stuff keeps coming up).
