all still separate chambers but now are ported

    front is tuned to 46hz

    rear is tuned to 28hz

what you don't see a steel 1 x 2 cage that will be wrapped around it... the right side will be much heavier than the left to counter all the weight of the subs ( upwards of 890ibs) lol being the subs are more on the passenger side than the driver side

also ... the ports will be removable... so if it sounds like poo i can change the tuning... furthermore... if it sounds bad after that... i can fill in the whole side were the smaller ports are in each chamber bring them small enough and sealing them turning it into a 4th order sooo woot ... gives me lots possibilities.. should be loud as fawkkkkk

haha hope im not getting on anyones nerves with this thread... thats what ill be using... so no more pix till the actual build

  2. yes but itd leave me next to no room for an an amp rack and id have to work around the rear wheels lol ....was gonna do a bandpass but pete thought this was a better idea i suppose... being i know nothing about anything past ported boxes with some exceptions lol.... ill take his word.... worst case... i build it... its a flop ... i cut it up... do another box... like alot of ppl have done

  3. Wouldnt that turn it into a clam shell? well heres what he said ... hope he doesnt care that i post this

    Hi,

first, this is a total mixture of box systems what never will work

as "thought". It will work, brutal, but there are so much errors.

Every sub need its own chamber, Horns dont work proper in pressure chambers,

so much big surfaces need bracings, and not just 10 layers of mdf glued together...

For me its hard to calculate the " to metric. I CAN do that, but I must calculate each

    measurement seperately.

Such a big system is not easy to plan and build.

Will take lots of thoughts. I planned more than the built needed in time :)

And I still had to take some compromises in my car :)

I guess you will "kill" a lot of efficiency and power with that big box.

With a lot of brainwork you will get out more out of 6-8 18" Woofers with 3000 Watts each....

Remember, I just use 8-9000 Watts all in all now. (Cannot use more anyways at the moment).

You plan that power almost for one woofer !

The equipment can do so much I cannot imagine.

But the work, I am afraid, will be in your hand.

Practice and experience helps to avoid time for the built,

but this practice is expensive and not available for

    everyone, unfortunately.

But the good thing, everyone can get this practice

by getting more and more experience.

But patience and lots of sweat is needed.

I promise you, you will be more proud of it than

getting a design from somebody else ! :)

Hope my little tipps help you.

Please dont be disappointed that it is not more...

I looking forward to see this monster happen !

    Keep us all updated please.

i suppose i can always can build it and see how it sounds haha...

  4. Well idk about this... but it should be loud?

    for 10 18 inch Cactus mk2s

quote "Well. here it is. Your bass-race monster. This is a variation of a

front-loading horn that will perform well into the 20Hz region and be

very suitable for BassRace-style applications from 30Hz up."

im not sure how this one works? lol but if pete designed it i guess its gonna be loud as fawk :blink: well i hope lol... 1 160s on music hopefully

    :wub::wub::wub:

sorta looks like chickens box but more of a horny horn

wont be done for a while being my situtation that some of u may have read but... i figured id share none the less...

he sent me the sketchup file as well if ud guys would like more pix

  5. there are no specs because Christoph builds them to cater to your needs.... the only thing that could possibly be put on there would be the magnet size and the weight lol ... if you notice... alot of high end spl subs dont post specs... such as the SS xxx... t3 tsns...

  6. chris norris did a 177.3 with 6 12inch mk1s (the model down) in a 6th order series tuned bandpass...

    http://team-cactus.com/teams/usa/team+cn+cactus+sounds

iirc he upgraded to the mk2s... i dont think theres any scores yet... that spefic model is just making its way around... the mk1 however has been around for sometime and has 4hp motor... so you could imagine how big this one is :P fyi theres a bigger model called the mk3 on its way soon as well :P
