Does anyone know the differences between the ZVX 18v1.5 and the 18v2? Thanks in advance!

Hey Kevin,
I have already purchased 3x T-2000.1D and 1x ZVX18v1.5. I noticed that my v1.5 doesnt have basket coil venting. What are the differences between v1.5 and v2 for the ZVX18?

Jesus, 9.3 cubes. Should slam some lows.
do you think it will only be go for lows? or will that much airspace be good for the range of the speaker including the lows?

this is what the manufacturer recommends:
BL 18 – Ported box we recommend using 5-10 cubic feet @ 30-37Hz tuning, you can tune a little higher if you wish but we recommend keeping it close to 32hz for a daily driver. Again the same 12-16 square inches of volume applies per cubic foot of volume.
and its going in a tahoe. i wanted the box to be almost as wide as my "trunk" area, which is 47". so to have the box be 47", i chose 22" as height and depth to maintain some of those recommendations.
edit: i guess i could have also took the mounting depth of the woofer into more consideration when i built the box lol.... mounting depth of the woofer is 9.750”. omg and i used 22" lol... well i wanted to be able to have the box face forward against the cargo hatch or fire upward without having the box demensions be awkward if i turned one way or the other. so 22" either way seemed alright at the time. i hope it sounds good and slams, thats all im really concerned with. but this box has me nervous a little. i used re box calculator and have never built a slot port before.

off center, they say farther from the port is better..
okay thanks.

ok guys, d2 18" bl ordered and i just finished building the box. my phone is messing up atm so im unable to upload the pics of the finished box minus woofer. but here is the exact specs of what i built.
i have a question as this is the first time ive built a slot ported box....
where would be the best place to cut the hole for my woofer? right in the center of the face place? or closer to the opposite end of the port?

Google. Says it's rated @ 1 ohm. If you can get the part number of the amp I could double check for you.
I couldnt locate the part number on it. The only thing I can read is the KX 1200.1 ; It does have some small bar code thingy on the under side with a 10 digit-ish number....

Your amp is 1 ohm stable and if you're getting a BTL and want to run it @ 1 ohm get the dual 2 ohm then wire as so-
Thank you Nova. How did you find out if the amp was 1 ohm stable ? its an older model maybe 5 years old!

I have an old kicker 1200.1 amplifier but I'm not sure what Ohm stability it has and I'm wanting to buy an Fi BL 18" dual 1 ohm. My question is what could happen if I wired the dual 1 ohm woofer up to my amp and my amp isnt 1 ohm stable? And how can I find out if my amp is?
ZVX version changes???
