  1. i thought there were only 5 of the T15k rockford amps, if so i found who has the last one, i know steve has 2 and chicken has 2 if im correct and welll i ws looking at car on ebay and...well ha came across this awsome deal. and guess what? it has the T15k rockford amp!

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BLACK-BLACK-25-000-amp-8-15-Subs-Sir-Suspension-26s_W0QQitemZ150421539877QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item2305d28c25

BTW I WAS WRONG ON THE SUBJECT I THOUGHT IT WAS 30k FOR SOME REASON, MY MISTAKE

  2. So i recently bought a kenwood kac-9104d, its an 1800 watt amp. puts out 900rms at 2Ohm and at 1ohm 900+ ive had another amp in there which was running just fine and ive got video to proove that, but i went to go hook this amp up and now sound/bass is coming out of it. ive checked my RCA's behind the HU and followed them to make sure they weren't cut or anything even hooked up another set of RCA. the amp comes on, isnt in protect mode, just doesnt play bass/music how would i manage to look on the mother board or amp what ever u want to call it to see if the rca cable plug in themselves are messed up, they dont look like it from the eye but could something be hidden that is causing this boiling up of my blood pressure since it is not working?

  3. In all honesty instead of buying random subs and all that why not save up and buy somthing big not a bunch of off brand stuff one buy one you know ? not bashin for reall hell i can get you two 15" RE subs for 250 and they are only 600rms

nahh i def understand what u are saying but hifonics isnt really an offbrand haha, but ima shop around it would be nice to use the 1100RMS at 1ohm that my amp could put out ahha. just need some advice lol. maybe a little push towards a certain brand

  4. honestly i have never been satisfied... my last system was just over $1000 just in subs, box, and amp... and i kept it in the car for 2 weeks and then sold it... i dont know if it will ever be enough! but im getting alot of experience with different products... so i guess its a plus..

haha im satisifed with the price to noise ratio with this just i found a better deal soo these are going

  5. definitely consider some sound deadener!! your system looks awesome especially for $150. when i had a sedan and two twelves, i finally decided to get some sound deadening material to cover the entire trunk and what a difference!! good luck on your sound journey!

haha sound deadner is def the last thing on ym list i kno i should infest now, but after i sell my bike thats go to an alt or two, than the 6 12's are going to go in not to sure if ima use a wall or not, but the new hifonics subs are what the 12's are gunna be, and for just under $200 for all of them shipped

  6. '

I feel you. I had a budget of like $500 for a sub, amp, new mids and highs and that was going to be it for my daily driver and my return to car audio. Now I'm over 1k in myself and I've got about $$1500 more planned for the next year. But I love it!

Congrats on your system dude. You're moving more air than I am. Even though I do have a suburban. :)

yea moving air through a suburban is a little harder:D haha, but i bet urs is def louder since it is a SUV cabin ha

  7. I tried to do a cheap, basic system in my new car... all of a sudden there's like $1k of gear in it and I'm left wondering WTF happened.

We had a bang-for-buck-on-a-budget competition over here a while ago. Judged on SPL, SQ and overall crazyness with points given or taken away either side of the budget.

Winning car did 138.7dB and scored reasonably well in the SQ part. Cost a grand total of $144 for deck, 2 amps, sub and fronts.

DAMN! haah where are u from? wish i lived around there, but the new hifonics subs the have are what r going in next, 6 of them to be exact, haha $154 for all 6 of them, gunna get two first and see if they are decent than 6 are coming since i actually had a kid at school offer mr 150 for these today, and i payed $50 for the subs so why not?

  8. for a 150$ id be happy too looks like it bumps good for what you paid for an alt and extra battery will make it even better and give you a good foundation for a better system when your ready to upgrade

Thanks i appreciate it! and yupp exactly what im thinkn, my amp is stable at 1ohm but with the electrcial drop im seeing now its not gunna be able to run at 1ohm for long at all lol

  9. did you touch the bass knob :/? not bad for 150 i suppose but do you really want to drop the money a new alt is gonna cost (upwards of 400 probly) on an older car like that? might wanna save money in case the car craps out, and you definitely don't need that strong of an alternator for that set up. Gotta start somewhere i suppose though.

not worried about the car dropped a new motor in it with 70k miles=], no rest, underbody is in great shape!, and yeaaa i necessarily dont need that big of an alternator but i have big plans in the future and thats to make this the loudest volvo 740 in the world so im starting from the electrical and working my way back i guess u can say?

  10. jw im a car audio noob and i was was wandering if 2 type r 12 4 ohm on a hifonics 2000watt would be as loud or louder get back at me thanks

they dual voicecoil i believe and at 2ohms yea they def will be if in the right box and clean setup, or even try a 1ohm load if u got the electrical and an amp thats stable at it, look on aplines site for a ported box and use http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html and use the alpine spec to figure it out x2 for ur box and tune and yea it will be louder nto doubt in my mind

  11. I definitely have to upgrade the electrical, H/O alternator coming in the future from of course DC alternator gunna see if they can make me a 270-300A alt and try to get atleast 175 idle amps, and as i do that gunna do the big 3 as well, and start building it from there, recently got done rewiring everything with a cheap 4gauge wiring kit but now the major dimming of the lights and my car being 20 yrs old is starting to scare me for the alt, its a 1990 Volvo 740gl with the 2.3l non turbo 8v 4 banger which is slow as all hell but! here is a shitty video ill hopefully be adding a better one 2mmrow, this was jus a quick thrown together video.

PLEASE DO NOT BASH! YES I KNOW ITS NOT GREAT, BUT FOR $150 IM SATISFIED FOR NOW

  12. Thanks for viewing everyone, so heres the scoop. Its Christmas and i happen to stumble across a pair of 12" Eclipse Titanium series subs. I have been in love with these subs forever and the price at which i am possibly going to get them at seems like a steal to me, $220 for 2 to be exact. BUT!!!!! the problem i have is i have a very very nice memphis box for 2 12" subs which i am going to possibly put these in and a interfire 1100.2 amp but i can also borrow a buddies box and use just one of the two subs but it would be in a bigger CF area in the single box than the combined in the dual for one sub. Which do you think would be louder and my best bet, both are ported the single box is the WO wedge box for the JL W7 and the memphis box i have is 3.70cf i dont know the tune of either of these boxs but advice would be great i will include some pics of the subs i am going to be getting.

Found this online but i have heard about people powering them with WAY more.
