Ok everyone so i know everyone has there personal choice in music. what they like, and what they dont like. But in all honesty for a kid whos making beats out of his dorm you cant tell me he isnt killing it. This is my Buddy Joshua David Gatlin who i went to high-school with, and i think by far this is his best track yet. Tell me what you guys think just give it a listen, positive and negative criticism is a + since it will let me know what i should let him do bass wise but remember his equipment is limited. But if its going to be negative lets keep it appropriate and not just "WOW he fucking sucks" give a reason on why you dont like it.

i dont think your rear deck is sealed up all the way... thats prolly your problem i havent ever heard of a car being completely sealed up and be quieter....even the smallest little hole can fuck you everything make sure you take out the back seats and seal up everything and also take out every panel by the back seats if its a 2 door and seal those up
well its not expanda foamed everywhere that is the one of the reasons but i dont want to foam shit if im not gunna enjoy it you know? and that foam is a damn mess....if there was a way to foam everything, keep the clean up nice and it looked nice i would do that in a heart beat.
did you seal off the package tray look at deepsilencers I helped him seal that one off he had big holes leading to the trunk through the package tray I had to use a shit ton of expanding foam then he fatmatted the whole package tray as well as around the panel that I made to seal off around his box we didn't get picts unfortunately but the numbers don't like from a 143 all the way up to a 146 after the improvements mine is sealed off from the trunk as well and it plays the lows very nicely your missing something here gotta go back through it
well....this is a dinky 2cf box tuned to 30 hz. ha. id like a better design b4 i go all out and seal da bitch in there.

probably one of 2 things. A your front 2 windows are up. or B you didnt seal off your rear deck and any other paths to the trunk. any air going back there will keep it from sounds louder
windows where up...ha. and from shineing a flash light at the back i could see no light coming through? so i really dont know.

OP, I think systems with a little more power do better forward firing. You could always go back to the way you had it before.

it doesnt matter power wise. For all of you saying that it takes longer to develop lower bass waves and all that, in your theory a trunk car would be louder than a walled car. thats not hte case. Its about pressurizing a smaller area. If you are not louder. Or cleaner sounding facing forward you don't have a complete seal. you missed something. I see you still have rear speakers and no signs of anything done to the rear deck. thats the issue. It can be a lot of work and very frustrating if its the first time you've ever tried this. but think of this. All the loud trunk cars have been forward facing and sealed off. good luck and keep looking at it. Im sure you'll find something you missed.
yeaa...and i feel i need to have a bos designed to be firing forward in order to actually work good in this type of setup and well this box wasnt maybe thats it as well

So was askn if there was anything i can do to make my current setup louder. One of the main ones b4 rebuilding a box was to turn it into the cabin and seal it off...so i did just that. Unless you have to be a genius to do this i royally fucked up. ha. Cut some wood, fit it in there, and it wasn't mean to look nice, just to see if it did make a difference and well ill be damn it did! A bad difference....i don't think it sounds as loud at all....nor do i feel my lows near as much, why is this? Here are pic of what i did, and yes its ugly but trust me...it is sealed off, checked with a flashlight at night to see if i see light... i saw no light. Also didn't know that expanding foam was such a fuckn pain to get off your hands....any idea what gets it off?

if i didnt hear about alot of problems with catera's i might try and snatch this but i have no cash and it would be a trade and ur not looking for other car ha, and well ur asking price is way way below what i would take for my car, this would just be a great platform for me to get the ball rolling

picked this TC sounds sub up thinkn it was a psi reconed sub since the recone kinda looks like one of these but found out it was actually a super rare prototype made by them and well i dont know why it didnt go into production, i did break my spoiler that day halfway threw the video the spoiler start to lift higher than it was b4...needless to say i broke it.

So as you know...or dont know if your not my subscriber on youtube. I had my shit stolen when i was at the navy recruiter finishing up the rest of my papers, they knocked my drivers side window off the track and jus unlocked the car, i had my tool set behind the passenger seat and that was stolen and putting the pieces together they used my tool set to steal my stereo.... they broke my dash to get my kenwood radio out since i am a **** and do little things just incase of a istuation like this to back fire on people i CA cluded the cage around the cd player and CA clued it into the dash:lol: i had my ipod charger running to my ipod threw the USB to get a nice clean signal and well they followed the cord and got my ipod (16g touch). and below that was my wallet since when i change my pants i ALWAYS forget to take it out of them and have gotten 3 tickets for no license on me:runaround:. and that had 200 cash in it since i was going to get my window motor fixed. but when they stole the CD player they much have crossed some wires a little to close and caused it to burn some wires and some of the AC control's frying my ECU....that i didnt know untill the check engine light so i emptied my savings to fix it since i am not goin to college and after all was said and done. $600 ECU, $5 dash piece, $120 for the soundstream radio, $200 for the window regulator motor, $100 for the tints, $50 for the haggard ass mp3 player, and $xxx for the fun hidden shit next time they decide to break into the car, heres a hint it rhymes with nun and starts with G:evil5::nod: (yes i have a license for it). but here is the video progress and kinda a video story of everything.

So i ended up picking a soundstream XXX up from my buddy mario on team soundstream, he had it in his wall and was on his way to a buddys b4 they were done and it wasnt secured all the way so the box flew fwd and damaged one of the subs, but it was just the cone...no the voicecoil, spider or tinsel leads, those are all still hooked up and the sub works ha but im not sure if i have to do a full recone or not, i heard id be fine getting a new surrond and dustcap since i am only gunna be givig it about 3-3.3krms so no where near its power limits, but i was wondering if there is a easy way to get the remaing cone of around the voicecoil, this is going to be the first sub i have reconed, and if anyone knows someone with a nice high surround cone since thats what this one needs, i found one from PSI for the 4" voicecoil which is 65 but it would be nice to do this as cheap as i can, we all like cheap:D
but yea just shoot me your opinion thanks everyone.

So i pretty much just got the seats out and measured the distance of which the woods going to have to be cut, its messy yea i know owell, personally isnt bothering me just yet, but thats the progress i made for today it was ridiculously hot outside and since i have finals this week at school i am going to be trying to balance everything.

So pretty much been been doing alot of listening to music since the snow here is way to damn high for my car to make it through. And well...I must say i have decided to throw this thread together for my top 3 Favorite youtube rappers. Many have tried and failed. Some may not write there own songs. Some may not use there own music. But needless to say they are amazing in there individual ways. And me having as many friends as i have on facebook i used it to promote bands often. I use to do it with Myspace but got out of that. So now its time to help out people.
First is Novi Novak. Chicago bound kid just like myself. Rapping about the life "I" have and still do live which in itself is amazing to me. But the flow and the way he carries himself not to mention i wear the almost exact same cloths and my hat the same style lol. Second has to be Danny Vola, I came across his music listening to some acoustic stuff since i have a wide variety of taste of music. We all listen to rap i know we do. Sometime we might not be able to understand every word but like the beats. But wouldn't you like to know exactly what they are saying? Danny doesn't only clarify it, he breaks it down, mixes it up and backs it up with a guitar and a voice thats beyond soothing (no homo). Hes not in the category or a rapper. Last but not least is MGK aka Machine Gun Kelly. If your from Ohio and do not know of him...well i don't know what the fuck is wrong with you lol jk. But on a serious note this kid is going to make it big. Some stuff he says might not sink in to your head like others. Ill throw this out "Lace Up" Might confuse your brain? Have you thinking what in the fuck does that have to do with anything. Well i thought the same way until i watched some more of his videos. Its honestly a way of life. He Kills it for a white boy out of Ohio and its just another amazing artist to throw on out list of musician that came out of the Northwest .
