  1. you "could" use ur comp set as normal(passive), and hook your midrange to an amp/processor with bandpass capabilities. might be hard to blend them in with the comp set though... idk

4 channel amp -> comp set on 1+2, midrange on 3+4 (if your amp has bandpass capabilities there is no need for a processor.)

you would be running 4/6 passive + 2/6 active however.

idk if thats a good idea or not... i really have no experience in car audio but it is an idea for you to look into.

  2. indeed ^^^.

    is this your first setup?

ya, this will be my first setup,

That sub will go nice with that amp. I hope you get some batteries and maybe a HO alt to go with it though.

i had planned on getting atleast 1 battery for the trunk, im going to try to get away with a stock alt though.

as for batteries... i was thinking 2x kinetic 1800, 1 in front 1 in back, or leave the stock battery and go with like a 2400 or 3800 in the back,

im leaning more on the 2x 1800 becuase my car sits in the garage for the winter, the dry cells should withstand sitting better than the stock piece of shit.

  3. ok, thank you i thought i would have to upgrade my alt, just trying to get some information from someone that knows a bit more then me, i would rather upgrade my alt then my bat,

i can get a 140 amp alt from mechman to fit my car, would this handle 1500 watt rms???

    what about 2000 watt rms?

if not how big of an alt would i need for 2000 watt rms
