  1. fuck dude my thing reposted like 4 times ): im so sorry

its ok we have a glitch in the reply box thing.....working on that and the smiley-sets right now.

    80

Glad to see you guys got rid of that stupid smiley for "80". That thing drove me crazy.

New site looks all pretty. It cleaned up nice. It'll take a day or so for me to get used tot he look of it but it's nice and quick and easy to navigate. Good work old chaps!

  2. Now i know low hz music doesnt destroy your eardrums........but ive had about a 148 daily driver for almost 2 years (2 xl 18s) on only 2k rms.

.....and i can notice a small difference in my earing...............but my question is for those who have had like a 150 plus dd for many years how is your hearing???

How loud do you crank your highs to keep up with that bass? Low notes can still do *some* damage over time, just not nearly as much as the 1kHz+ range can. Distortion on your highs can make it even worse.

  3. So much for "all white meat"

IDk how old this photo is though and I've never really seen anything really saying what it is or where it's from. But whatevs. I'll eat those nuggets any day cause they're fucking delicious. People are such hypocrites. They drink or smoke or whatever else they're doing that's killing them slowly then get all up in arms about their 5-piece nuggets they paid $1 for being made of some cheap shit. And I'm not saying anything about anyone here so don't start some flame war nonsense.

  4. That sucks.

I fucking hate the Patriots with a passion. To see them in another superbowl makes me want to kick a puppy.

What reason could you have to hate any team that much. Everyone outside new England's just jealous haters. Pats have consistently been a great team for over 10 years get used to it.. I sat front row tonight and loved every second of it, dopest game, nail biter til the end but pats came out on top another Super Bowl appearance baby

Haters gonna keep hatin' man! Now just gotta see how the Giants/49ers game goes. I'd love to see a Pats/Giants rematch in the Superbowl. Little bit of revenge for 2007

  5. Im not sure bro....the xover that it came with was basically a cap and a coil of some sort, nothing special....I can do $10 shipping on these.

All a basic passive 2-way crossover consists of is a capacitor and an inductance coil. The size of the cap and resistance of the coil is what controls the crossover frequency. I know a few guys on here who make their own 2-way inline crossovers for their component sets. Making custom ones is actually pretty cheap, though you've gotta get the right parts.

Closest thing I can find to the 4200hz crossover that the Rainbows came with originally is this Dayton Audio 4500hz 2-way crossover

  6. Alienware stuff is nice and fast, just are generally overpriced. Their M11x and M14x models are reasonable though they limit you on graphics card options. Still on the high end but since being bought by Dell their build quality seems to have increased. I bought an Alienware for when I went to school. 2 years later I built my desktop for half the price and it absolutely blows it out of the water.

You can't say you're looking to play BF3 and in the same sentence say you're not looking to play anything fancy. BF3 is one of the most demanding games on the market lol!

  7. audiopipe and db link is crap, but i had soundquest 0g and i just upgraded to tsunami 0g witch is ofc, and it made a big difference, i would go with tsunami stinger hpm, kicker, knu or shok wire

From what I've seen in reviews the Audiopipe 0-gauge is some quality wire, just not as flexible as others. Not something I'd ever call crap.

Knu's Kolossus Flex is my personal favorite, though Stinger's HPM and Kicker's HyperFlex are both top notch as well.

  8. So basically if you took a standard 4 ohm resistor and hooked it up it would fry because of the amount of current?

A.) The resistor is probably not rated to handle that much current

B.) The "resistance" from a speaker isn't resistance that people thing of in a direct current sense. It's an impedance, or reactive load. Resistance changes throughout the coil's travel through the magnetic field. Adding a static 4-ohm resistance onto the incoming signal is going to mess with that.
