  1. needed advice. we are now runnin RFt4000s but they arent aggressive enough in the 40hrtz range and i tink that mekin it even more difficult to produce a good score. its a wall with 4 18s btl and our best score is 155.4 at 49hrtz. i feel the amps are the step one problem. any othe4r amp suggestions wpuld appreciate the help!

  2. I'm building a box for my friend's Fosgate t2 15. How much port area per cube should I have? the box will be tuned to 33Hz. Thanks in advance...

u can build it at 4.3cubes before displmnt. and 49"sqr of port with 22" of port length, that sounded GREAT! hard for alot of subs to sound better than this sub in that enclosure!!

  3. Are your decks RCA grounds loose?

Are the amps grounded to one location?

Are the grounds sanded down to bare metal?

Have your tried swapping RCA wires?

Have you checked you voltage with a DMM at the Amp, battery (front/back), also the ohm load?

yea all those basics are done, except for swappin rca, and checkin the voltage directly at the amp. as for the ohm its down to 1/2.

  4. So there is a popping while playing music ?

Are the subs reaching mechanical limits ? Also... unhook the remote knob and see if it stops.

im pretty sure the subs arent reachin its mechanical limits because it happens to soon in volume increase, the subs are 18s btl. it was doin it without the knob thats why i hook up the knob, so that i can have somewhat control over that pop noise while drivin. yes it happens with music.

  5. i was thinkin low voltage was the part of the issue in my boy jeep with the two 3k, but in the other vehicle with the 3.5k the voltage doesnt drop below 12.6 and the poppin begin sumtimes even before the voltages reaches that low. this amp was from db-r so im thinkin that refurb wasnt a good repair. ill try some of you guys ideas and check the other things y'all listed also appreciate all the inputs

  6. yea man thanks, but how did u go about taking out the orange i thought about it but i dont have patience so i didnt want to ruin the lights since i paid 400+ for them(what a sucka). and couldnt afford or didnt want to afford the original envoy lights they cost 800 a piece because GMC refuse to sell them without the HID and doesnt sell aftermarket.

  7. actually theres a new HCCA line that does 5k and 10k

id prefer the HCCA over hifonics myself

thanks alot but u guys are thinkin about the older hcca5000 that was a 25k rms, but the new one will b out dec. 18 or so and was told a while ago that its 5k plus and will have birthsheet testin available. so that seems like it would be a beastly amp.

  8. THE L7S MIGHT BE LOUDER BUT THE BTL'S ARE WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY LOUD. I HAD THE L7S AND THE BTL'S, AND I WOULD GET THE BTL'S ANY DAY. THEY CAN BE RE BUILT UNLIKE THE L7'S, AND THE BTLS CAN HOLD WAY MORE POWER THAN L7'S SO MIGHT WANT TO GO WITH THE BTL'S. THE ONLY DIFFERNCE IS CONE AREA.

nope the kickers wont b louder, not with 3k+ per btl. BTLS!!
