  1. all 3 are good amps, however the Sundown to me is the most impressive...A 4500 doing 5600 at exactly 1ohm...the DC 5k basically did the same number yet at .97ohm. So technically, the Sundown "outperformed" it in my opinion, but as they said it is application specific and that DC amp did very well anyway, especially to outperform such a respected name like American Bass

i agee i just realized it was a saz4500 against two 5ks! sweet results!

  2. dynamat extrm!

Dang man! At least you're using the good stuff. :good:

I think it's time for SS to roll out the SPL Tiles again...

Back to the original question. If you proceed with the wall, look for 13 ply 3/4" void free birch plywood. It is some awesomely strong stuff. Wish I could build with it more often.

    Later,

thanks man ill look into it because the wall is completed and being trimmed up for good seal.

  3. I believe Underlok and Boilermaker have dual alt kits..I think from DC power?

thanks hopefully i can get a lil info from one of them..

Gonna have to say, get ahold of Robbie, over at DC Power, he can hook you up with the Dual alt kit... Better have some skills... And tools... I added a Corvette C-6 Efan, New T'stat, tune, dual alts, and CAI when I did mine, so it was a lot easier because I had shit off the engine... Gonna have to notch the front frame crossmember as well... So far, I'm the only 4.2 I6 out there with dual alts...

wow that dont sound like no easy task but ill b the second one out there with it cas it has to get done one way or the other..but thanks ama hit up rob to see what he has for me

  4. Im goin to buy a saz 3500d today off a member on here. He says the led bulbs are blown on the amp but it works fine. Has anybody ever experienced this with any other 3500s or any other amp? Just wanting some info so i can know how to go about fixin it.

was wonderin the same ting cas my 3500 is doin that right now its not completely out but the light is dyin and was hopin the amps wasnt!

  5. find a local machine shop or car garage that does custom work and have them build you a bracket if they can. thats if you dont have the tools and skill to make your own like some other ppl do

i personally dont have the skills to do the brackets lol i wish i did cas my blazer is dyin for a brakcet for a while now, but the only guy who can make the bracket for me is hella busy man and kiinda tired of waitin would rather purchasin it from someone like dc or ohio etc.

  6. i pretty much wanna kno if goin with the SD8000 is a wise idea bein that i will add the extra electricals to support the beast. or is it equal power to the RF and im waastin my time swappin? the wall is tuned to 37hrtz and doesnt really produce in the 40hrtz range to my satisfaction and peakin at 49hrtz i feel there shoulkd b a better score than a 155.4. my blazer does a 156.9 at 41hrtz with the same 4 18s set up and 4 3500 sundown in a no nwall application. so help me out there!

  7. I agree with notorious at least one more alt to keep the batteries from taking a hit, a couple more runs of wire, vcm and maybe tune a bit higher?

i would like to find a bracket to run atleast one more alt. but cant seem to find a bracket anywhere for a 2005 jeep cherokee . if anyone can guide me in the direction id appreciate that and as for the runs of wire yea that will have to increase also but it still doesnt change the way the RF produces its smooth roll off bass. and if i tune it higher it wont be a good daily driver after.

  8. what kind of electrical do you have? could be you dont have enough juice for it.. but i know redbaron80 switched from 2 RF4ks to 1 SD8k and gained like 2 whole DB.. but he had the power to back it

right now we have 8 xspwer d3100s and a mechaman 250 alt< and two runs of power and 2 runs of ground to the battery bank. and i would like to see a whole 2db gain in this swap, those RF produce this aggressive LOW frequency response but that not gonna cut it for the meter bein that the box is tunes to 37hrtz
