  1. Hello all,

I have seen several vids of meade's designs on his engines with all the alts and i was wondering... Why would you use a fuse to protect the alternator and the batt? Wouldnt you want to get a ton of power from your alt and not blow a fuse doing it??

And plus, if anybody knows someone who builds brackets for alternators please please hit me up, im going to buy an alt for a 1998 oldsmobile 88 (my current car i drive) and i want to be able to put that same 300 amp alt into my dads 1997 chevy tahoe when i buy it. yes i know that they arent bolted in the same way which sucks but i was wondering if anybody knew some guys who can make me a custom bracket where i can strap the alt of my oldsmobile into the tahoe as a secondary alt.

    Thanks in advance!!!

i relation to your alternator swapping idea i believe don't quote me here but i think iraggi alternator has a plan that can be purchased that will allow you to order one H/O alt for your 88 then when you change vehicles you can send it in for one that is made for the tahoe. like i said i think this is true pm iraggi to find out.

  2. They said pyle as a joke, they suck ass.

for 400, just get one sub. or you can actually get 4 kickers cvrs 15/ re audio sx? or idk. bro. 3 type rs?

    but for 400, 3 good 18s? never.

don't have to be good just working

plus im building a wall for 3 18's not fifteens

  3. I would just use the mdf cause your goin to resin up any way so it won't matter just brace it propperly some picts and vids are required as build progresses

I think i'm going to use the birch on the front just to give it the look i want(stained wood grain) and i will start a log when i start i don't have a lot of money so i'll be pretty slow as it goes.

  4. but might be fine with supports just in case 1 flexes and the other doesn't not totaly sure not a wood expert lol but then again i never mixed woods when building a box so not quite sure

I was just thinking the birch may be more rigid for the baffle and use MDF for the rest for cost efficient. There will be lots of bracing and even more glass. it's a must for the three 18's im putting in.
