Thanks LoudCivic. I'll go with what I thought I should have got in the first place and grab some black silicone at the auto parts store
-
Use silicone, you'll probably make a huge fcking mess with expanding foam. You'll be wondering why it's not getting any bigger and there will be a mushroom of sticky foam the size of a football chilling out in your footwell.
LOL okay
Anyone have any silicone recommendations? Is RTV what I need? I read that RTV is flexible, sounds good for anti vibe, but would it be hard enough to protect the wires from rubbing? I don't have a grommet to fit the hole.

either great stuff or silicone. but be carefull with the great stuff (expanding foam) its really messy and is impossible to take off lol i say just use silicone
What about this stuff?
http://www.amazon.com/PRODUCT-GREAT-STUFF-CRACKS-298140/dp/B0018K402U
Or if I'm using silicone:
And should I use RTV?
-
thats what i used on mine. expanding foam FTW
Can you point me in the right direction? Where to get it, brand name? If you've had good luck with it I imagine I would manage to not fork it up

What about the hi temp black RTV silicone gasket maker they sell at Advance? I have some contact cement but it's clear gel and I highly doubt it will work.
-
Naw that won't do. I seriously need an air tight seal. something to fill it in good. I won't want wires rubbing either. I should have though about all this

I have a 99 Nissan Frontier and I just ran new power wired through the factory wiring harness gasket (i had to snip the gasket to get the 1/0 in snug beside the factory wires.
Now I have road noise though this hole, and a little bit of air. It's SO annoying and I have no idea how to fill it back in.
Does anyone know of something I can pick up at home depot or advance auto parts so I can fill in the extra 'hole' I've made?

I'm tempted to hook up some old woofers from 2001 and wire them down to half an ohm and slam 2000+ into them, i have an 8 and a 10, i might make a video if i can find them

"pry the magnet off and use it as a passive radiator "
Well that would give me my screw holder AND a radiator!
But I have a pair of hifonics Zeus's comin in so i'll have to pass.
-
plug it into the wall socket to make sure its really fried!!
Oh I checked the coils with an ohm meter, they're spitting .6 and .2, should be spitting 4
-
Just blew the ever loving piss out of a CompVR 12 with a BX1500d... Now I'm wondering, is there anything totally awesome you can do with a blown sub?
One thing I was thinking is rip off the magnet with a crowbar and use it to hold screws or magnetize screwdrivers.

like said above if your being redirected to a search engine it sounds like a malicious code is running in your browser- maybe virus, maybe spyware, maybe SQL injection at a point in time. I would run a spyware cleaner [favorite is Lavasoft] and virus check since all spyware is not a virus.
Nah it's his ISP's dns. they hijack domains.
Try pinging search.live.com and it usually gets hijacked by major ISPs
-
Ah my bad... it's just so full of pages by now that most people won't check
-
Anyone heard of this before? I been bangin' this for a year now. Sick!
-
Acronis True Image or Norton Ghost.
-
To run ??? I'm sorry.... please explain...
Hey fish,
Yeah, it's a big bloated port, it's not a full recompilation or recode. It runs like ass even on high end PC's, look up maxishine on youtube.

Use some better name servers (DNS servers) on your modem. I recommend level3's dns servers:
4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2
4.2.2.3
4.2.2.4
etc up to 8 i think

Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto IV (don't expect this to run)
Fed a pair of 1/0 gauge wire through a factory grommet, NOISE through the gaping hole!
