  1. I first was taught on AutoCAD R13 in 96. But now I'm want to get into CNC type work. I have machining skills on a 3 axis mill. but I believe they use Solidworks for digitizing, but I have that also. I figured I'd learn AutoCAD first then to Solidworks. The book that I'm currently using is Applying AutoCAD by Wohlers and so far its one heck of a book. (Bonus! I picked it up on eBay for $0.99! LoL)

  2. In your job do you use AutoCAD and if so what version? I'm teaching myself how to use AutoCAD2009 and Inventor 2008 right now due to me and my wife being let go from a company that we had worked there for the last 9 years. (Long Story! And a $60,000 a year lost.) Also did you go to school for architecture to get your job? I'm looking to try and get myself in a position that I don't have to work for big business anymore. I told myself I shall never work for a place that treats me like a number.

Thanks again for your time Steve.

  3. nice setup lets see u got the monster power voltage stableizer, monster power power cleaner/surge protector...ooo u got the SVS plus series sub nice!!! how does it sound? and nice dvd rack man, u got a kickass setup there i bet it sounds real good especially wit that sunfire amp powering those speakers :good:

Here is proof that SvS makes one of the best (Bought) Subs there is.

I was watching transformers when it was released and my wife came home and as soon as she hit the dinning room she started bitching. I was like WTF? then I saw the damage.

The damn thing broke the lath and plaster key and I ended up with a nice big crack in the ceiling. Oops.

Also for how the system sounds its OK. The Polk's do OK but I'd like to upgrade them to really make that amp sing. I mean, when you have a amp that will do 400wpc @ 8ohms x7ch then go 800wpc @ 4ohms x 7ch and busting out with 1600wpc @ 2ohms x 7 ch, you really need a speaker that likes that much current.

  6. Worked on the hoe today and the amp rack was on the agenda. Went to the local "eek" Lows and picked up two sheets of 3/4" MDF for the box and the rack. I didn't get much done for I ran out of grommets. So while I wait for those I'm going to try my hands out at some Glass work to kinda slick up the rack. The Resin should be in tomorrow at my Step fathers Body shop and while I'm there going to grab some filler also. I'll have more pictures as this projects gets completed.. If you guys have any tips let me know. also still waiting on the Two PDX 1.1000 amps for the subs to match the 4.150. Thanks!
