well I was going to make the baffle and the bottom out of wood then the rest would be glass... still not sure if i wanna commit to it yet but im considering it.
-
I want to build a huge fiber glass box and see if it will hold 2 fi btl 18s with 2 aq2200's anyone tried fiberglass with big subs does it hold up???
-
5.7 cubes will be fine if your running that sundown amp.

Its a G35. I would not destroy the car to put a wall in it. But I do drive an accord so maybe you don't think like I do.
Ya I understand thats pretty much the reaction I when talking about the system in this car but I have built a few big builds in it and it stayed clean but thanks for the input
-
what do you mean clean?
-
im not saying this is some great discovery but this difference was much more than I expected and I did change the port locations on the both boxes but since my car is a coupe it was only changed from sub up/port up and sub forward port forward. sub up port up was the loudest but also had way too much flex im putting a wall next at 13 cubes with the biggest port i can fit I'll post a vid of the number and how it looks.

I was building a few boxes messing with my btl's I built 1 box that was 5 cubes with a 60 square inch port (minimum enclosure rec) and a box that is 9.6 cubes with 105 square inch port (close to max rec size) I ran 1500 watts to each just messin around and in the smaller box the sub didnt hardly move, however in the huge box 1500 watts actually pounds really hard oh ya both boxes are tuned to approx 38 hz I never knew it made that big of a difference in the enclosure size.
-
agree. I would get both...
-
regardless of what you decide that is a shitload of power I am running 3500 watts to each of my btl 18s and they pound super loud but 4000+ you really gotta have a very very good enclosure just keep that in mind... hope this helps
-
Im in the same position as you I just bought 2 btl 18s dual 2 and am trying to decide on sundown or audioque. I think ima have to go with sundown they are some beastly amps...
-
okay besides voiding the warrenty. Whats the chances the amp will burn out really fast???
-
I have a friend who wants to buy a sundown 3500 is that going to be enough power for 2 btls his are 18s dual 2 fully loaded he has a toyota tundra really beefed up electrical.
-
thanks everyone for the help but i just decided I am going to buy 2 audiopipe 3000d.

its alot easyer useing a maxxlink than tryin to do it the old faction way with a dmm checkin voltage, just hookd rcas in, set to slave i think n then on u goname="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
hope this helps
For sure Thanks for your help and input..
-
Yes that will work with a maxx link,,, but you will only be giving each sub around 1400-1600 rms... I can't remeber if you can strap those...
1400-1600 rms??? Each amp is 1200. I know hifonics amps are over rated but I think it will be a bit higher than 1400 per sub.

I have 1 optima yellow top under the hood and 3 hc 1800. I was looking a maxxlink but you really think I need 1 I thought I could just set them all exactly the same as far as gain, l/p, ect.
-
Okay I have 2 Btl 18's. 200 amp iraggi alt, and big 3. Now the question I got 3 hifonics 1200 watt amps super cheap I was just going to buy 1 more online and run one amp per coil they are the d2 fully loaded now would this work ok or is it stupid?
-
are these still up for sale?
-
I ran one for a long with no problems with without a HO alternator just had 1 optima yellow top and 1 hc 1800.
-
Whats up? my name is spence. I got sick of all the bs people say and try to just promote crap products. So I started getting on websites and it was the best idea so thanks everyone for all your input and help.
-
If you had the choice of running either dd 9500 series (size does not matter) or the fi Btl series again any size; which would be your personal preference for a daily driver sub/subs???

I just went through all 3 of EXO's "Top 100 Bass Songs" videos, hoping it would be in there. Nope.
I think have still have this cd I think its off his album the awake if not that try looking at his album the premonition. Sorry dont remember the name of the song. I'll look though my music to see if i have it.

Yep those vids are from his old setups, his new one is pretty significantly louder but still off the same power. Proves that even with "lower" power levels the Wardens will still be louder than almost anything out there.
If you're talking about the Wardens they actually aren't that expensive... Less than half the price of a DD Z is. For what they are proving to be capable off, seems like they might be a deal if anything.
Here are the prices from a dealer on CACO for the IA Wardens-
12"-$650 shipped
15"-$680 shipped
18"-$720 + shipping
21"-$800 + shipping
Hey cobrastang98 where is this your talking about cuz I only found them on one site and they sell for like 950+shipping for the 21''
