I have a 22 inch amp from B&C and Italian company. Here are the specs
# Nominal Diameter 530 mm (21 in)
# Nominal Impedance 4 ohm
# Minimum Impedance 4.2 ohm
# Nominal Power Handling (AES) 2000 W
# Continuous Power Handling 4000 W
# Sensitivity (1W/1m) 96 dB
# Frequency Range 30 - 1000 Hz
What kind of amp should I use for one

camrys have a pretty big sized trunk from what i remember I dont know exactly how big; however 12's would great. I also love the look of some of the beastly 10's around.
-
The subs are bad ass I have 2 sitting right in front of me. They hit super hard. They are around 650 to 700 a piece...

Just wanted to see if anyone was attending the show in feb in tucson arizona? http://caraudioevents.com/Event%20Schedule.htm

Worked for me, amp was an aq3500.

sry for the this Vs that bs post, but i have no idea how either sound, never seen any in real life.
I would like to thank you all of you for helping me out, im asking this because i have never heard anything else but kickers, pioners, and explodes.
So YOU will determine what im going to get. . So you're opinion definitely does count!!!
Set up it's for a daily driver, i will sell my system for this upgrade. (2 15s kickers, 3K amp. stock everything else runing like 12g wires)
Yes i know, i need the big 3, new alt, new bat.
I'm only asking people who have heard both equipments, just imagine both being in the same box, same hz, same everything.
which 18 do you think will be best for daily driving, and hits the best.
Fi Btl - 18"
or
DC lvl 5 - 18"
imma run a single 18.
thank you, sry again for the this vs that .
-David.
Both sound great; however the instal is more important than the sub itself you can ruin either one in a shitty setup. So it depends.

cough 4 10's couch. 2 up 2 front.
Thats the plan.

Look and where's the cut out circle?
The system is put in just have to add the batteries. I am not keeping it in long though. Taking the advice given im going to just buy some dd 3510's or 3512s

Why would you even with with a 18" in the first place in such a small car? Why not a 15" instead at least. You could have made a better box for the 15" too.
Dont have any 15s yet, I have an extra Btl so just wanted to see how it woud do

Its working for me too..

40hz and it's geared for burps? Ehhhh.... CRX's peak at more like 70hz+
I think you're diving into this way too fast. It won't just automatically be loud because its a CRX.
Slow down, read, research, plan, build.
EDIT: You probably would have been better off with sub up ports back with a single 18. With like 3 or 4 6" aeroports.
Lol the reason I chose 40 hz is this is NOT just a burp box its for daily driving too. I am reading and researching all the time this will be just a temp setup til I get 2 15s or something then I will build 2 boxes 1 for burps one for daily. I just needed some reference on the shape thats all. Im also going to run 8'' aeroports found a few online for a reasonable price. Thanks for the input though I agree maybe moving a bit quick with it, but wood is cheap so the more enclosures I build for it the easier I'll see whats working...

Shaping your box on an angle is not going to adversely affect your bass as long as your volume is correct. In fact, your box may have less standing waves inside it than a square-sided box, so it will probably should a little better with the angle than without.
sweet thanks homie
-
Yup tuned pretty high due to the fact its more geared for burps when I listen daily I dont plan on turning up loud. The sub is a btl 18 for now. saving up for a dd 9518z
-
Oh another thing is the box deminsions are 22 by 16 in height. 32 inches in depth. 31 inches in width. The port is 15X8.5'' tuned to 40 hz...
-
I was wondering if the angle of my enclosure would affect its performance and db level? I built it so it would have more breathing room for the port but I didnt know if cutting at the angle would hurt anything. Any thoughts? By the way the box if far from done just wanted some feed back prior to continuing.
-
oh well I will just go buy some 6'' pvc and make 4 ports outta that....
-
would sono tubes works? If reinforced with fiberglass?
-
thanks guys I just read through the forums and a few people were claiming to have 12'' aero ports so I figured they must be buying em somewhere, but now I know guess I hit up some work sites to find some...
-
Sorry if there is a thread on this I looked a bit and didnt see it. Im looking for where I can buy 12'' areoports I found 6'' ones, but cant seem to find anything bigger. Is there a site where they sell bigger ones?
-
Hey man besides your making a thread that shoudnt be here think of it this way. The apine 12's are rated at I think 500 to 750rms (Dont quote me on that). The BTL fully loaded is rated much higher I run 3500 watts to each daily with no problem. The btl is going to be louder, but a lot more expensive to run. So stick with the alpine unless you can spend a couple g's

thats some wild shit I hurt my damn knees just walking up my staircase. This ninja chinaman is buck wild.
-
