2.7 is too big for the 12 but yeah loaded 15 on 3000 rms would be perfect
what amp should i use for 3000???
-
Dude get a btl 15 on about 3000 rms in about 3 to 4 cube clean and LOUD
i can afford loaded, if it is 3000 still???
-
What kind of budget are you looking at for the sub/sub and amp?
sub-$600-$900, amp-same
-
What amp?
im lookin 4 a sub or subs first
-
Are you really planning to run 4k through it daily? What amplifier? Elecrical? Experience?
ive had bout 2-3 yrs experience(not alot i know)right now i got 2 kicker L5 12s running 300 rms each off two alpine mrp-m500 on stock 91 shadow electrical, but im planning on running some subs in my 93 dodge grand caravan(stock) but i will be putting 400amp alt big 3 and two yellow top batts. but im lookin for some 12 or 15s that will be loud. as for 4k daily no only for comps and a demo or two. more like 2500 daily.im just trying to find the loudest 12 or 15 for $800.

Yep don't put it in a huge box though
hows 2.7 cubes sound???
-
how many RMS can you put to a fully loaded btl 12 with out blowing??? is 4000 ok
-
since their 2ohm get a fosgate t1500 ull be getting around 1200-1300 rms at 2ohm
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8955_Rockford+Fosgate+Power+T1500-1bd+-T15001bd-.html
their dual 2 ohm and i would like to run them @ 1 ohm each so that would be a .5 ohm load
-
I doubt it does 1200w @ 1 ohm, and the L5s are 750w each. You'd be underpowering them.
Get a good amp.
tha L5's r rated 600 rms
-
can you tell me tha pros and tha cons of this amp??? can it run 2 L5 duel 2ohm woofers??? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Power+Acoustik+-+2000W+Class+D+Mono+Amplifier+with+Bridging+Synchronization/9027206.p?skuId=9027206&IcsCsid=2-39-654-25-5-7013-21898-25-654-615-25-654-2435-0-4&id=1218009770462

My HD3 is copper coils. I have about 1500 or so on it right now. I need more cu. ft. and port area though.
what size r ur subs
-
copper coils can take 3000w daily no sweat from what i hear. you dont really need aluminum coils unless your car is strictly for competition.
is 1 ohm or 2 ohm better
-
The aluminum coils can handle more power. Which is better depends on your application
this aq hdc3 is rated 4 1000 watts how much could it go
-
whats tha diff between Copper Coils & Aluminum Coils, what ones better???
-
Don't use that re Calculator it is way off
than what should you use
-
Hi, i have ordered a 12" Audioque sub, the company says the box should be 2.2cubes and around 36Hz.
I was wondering if anyone knows the dimensions i should use(using .75" mdf board)for a ported box?
here try this http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html
-
x2.
its goin in a 99 durango.
-
cool, should i do 2 chambers w 2 subs in each or just one big box, with 600 watts per sub
-
I would probably go about in the middle around 2.5 cuft per sub maybe alittle less. I mean you can build it any way you want but I think you would be happier with a smaller box. How much power are you gaonna feed each one?

^^^^^ 3.25 is way to big per sub IMO.
how much should each sub get???
-
3.25 is too much for L5's IMO
this is what kicker.com says

Max Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 3.25, 92.1

the box would be 17.6 cubes on the in side but with all tha wood inside it would be about 3.25 each chamber
i could even do 2 subs per chamber
-
it depends how big each chamber would be but there is nothing wrong at all with them all sharing the same air space
