  1. in that truck if the enclosure is behind the seats you will have to face the subs forward, unless you are really short. i have an s10 ext cab and im 6'1" and i only have about 14-15" of depth behind my seat at a height of around 20" so you'll have to do alot of measuring to figure just how much room you really have with your seats in a comfortable position. higher pre out voltage is better but from what i understand it isn't really that big of a difference from 2-4 volts(please correct me if im wrong). if you can, definitely do a build log and post up pictures i would love to see how it turns out.

  2. i've decided to build a small sealed enclosure for my 6.5" door speakers out of half inch spacer rings. and i was calculating the amount of cubic feet i had in the enclosure i was going to make and it was .04 cubic feet. i felt like that sounded really small but could i get away with that little? and possibly adding some poly fill?

  3. so i was recently told that the sundown sax 125.2 did not have very good sound quality specifically in the mid/high range. just thought i'd ask on here, because i've been thinking of getting one for front components but i've obviously never heard it. i highly doubt it has "bad" sound quality and if i had to guess i would assume it would actually be pretty good. thanks

  4. I'm not saying it wouldn't work. But what would be the point of giving a sub a fraction of it's intended power? Especially for the price it will likely cost. Keep in mind he said he wanted two to go in the corner of his room. Two off of 1500w in a room just sounds like a bad idea.

    X2

if you only have 1500w why not get something that thats cheaper but still sounds good off of that power... kind of pointless really

  5. i wasnt really trying to focus on the tinsels - im not sure if they are staying or if this is just part of the prototype process. As long as they dont slap i dont mind - i like the new ones on the BTL's as i think thats the best thing ever invented, but i dont know if it can be done on these ones YET.

Anyway, BITLD- i see u lookin, whens the SMD going on bladeice :D?

can't wait to see what they can do and how they sound! F*** the t/s para. it's all about the numbers they put up in real life situations

EDIT: i'd still like to see the t/s para. tho :)

  6. Hey steve i have an older honda accord and right now im using it for college but after i decided i was gonna fix it up and after i saw this civic like 2 yrs ago i decided im gonna do something similar... at first i just wanted to figure out how to fit an 18 in the trunk but eventually had to settle on 2 12's  anyway i just wanted to let you know you inspired me to do something crazy like this to my little ride
