  1. its going to be on chickens new "mix-tape"......gonna be an allstar cast on it. So far its sounding real good, even though chicken could care less, i know it will sell .......everyone sounds good on it and Dee (with the ice-cold robot lol) makes sick beats. I think im gonna be playing a lot of it on my youtube channel before its even released so watch out for that (if interested of course ;) )

Yeah them beats are tight that I've heard so far on the videos. Let us know when the mixtape comes out and where we can buy it.

  2. Getting credit these days is harder than before. Apply for a normal credit and see if you get approved. If you don't, then see if you can get a secured credit card. A secured credit card is where you give them like $250 or $500 of you own money and that is your credit limit. Once they see you can make your payments on time and in full, they'll give you your money back and up your credit limit and you'll have a normal credit card.

  3. Thanks guys. I guess I'm just afraid to do it in my own. I'm not very handy and I've had bad experiences in the past with wires/electrical. Plus I have absolutely no tools. lol

I PM'd Red Navi to email me the picture of the big 3 on a Civic and I'll take a look at it and if I feel comfortable maybe I'll take a stab at it. I can borrow tools from my buddy or even my father-in-law.

I didn't think I was pushing enough wattage to need a 2nd battery? So what exactly are caps good for? Anything?

  4. I guess I shouldn't say he can't do it, but more like he doesn't want to do it. We both work a lot of hours and have small children and rarely have the same time off together to hook up so he can work on it.

I'm willing to take it to a shop to do but not sure what kind of price I'm looking at. I know they are going to overcharge to begin with but is it worth paying a shop vs. just adding a cap?

Marlo, are you saying to replace the battery or add a 2nd battery? Will upgrading stop the lights from dimming? If a bigger and better battery will work then I'll just do that instead.

  5. I've got some questions about doing the big 3 upgrade and adding a cap.

My headlights are dimming like a mofo at night and I need to fix it ASAP. I know you guys will say do the big 3 but I'm not sure I can really get it done right now unless I have a shop do it or find someone who can do it. I know you guys don't like caps but I'm just looking for a short term solution right now.

I've got a 2003 Civic with stock battery and stock alternator. I'm using this kit for my wiring http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/pr...S&p_status= I'm running the 2 amps in my sig so total I'm running a little over 1k watts right now.

My buddy does all my installation for me and he can't do the big 3 but he thinks he can add the cap for me. Will adding a cap help with the lights? If so, what size do I need?

Again, I'm just looking for a short term fix right now.

  6. Thanks everyone. I figured coming from Crutchfield it would be pretty legit.

What I was looking at was a factory refurbished Kenwood HU. It's $40 cheaper than the new unit and has the factory warranty, but doesn't come with all the free installation gear. Since that's the case, maybe it would just be better to buy it new.

    Dan

In that case it's probably better to spend the extra $40. If it was a few hundred dollars then definitely go refurbished.
