  1. I've been thinking about sending in an amp to test, if steve would be up for it of course, the alpine m240 rated at 2400 at 2 ohm and 1500 at 4 ohm but only 1000 at 1 ohm, curious to see real test results. Also I could send in the stinger volt meter for another SMD one, sorry for mini thread jack

  2. do any of you have experience with there rotors and pads? link Brakemotive i have tried researching around google for some reviews and experience. I found that they are a partner on a nissan forum, also on a f150 forum i found a topic about a guy that has had them for a couple thousand miles and he likes them. They are made buy Powerstop which can be found on summitracing, autoanything and others. Im not looking to compare them to wilwood or anything but need some new rotors on my moms car. I had already ordered ebc slotted rotors from summitracing but somehow they are not oem replacement like advertised, i was going to send those back and get ebc slotted and drilled rotors when i searched around on ebay and found those. Any info would be appreciated thanks

  3. my cousin has this hu in his titan. he likes it pretty good. one thing if your going to connect your iphone every time you use it be careful with the cord position his went bad and the only way to get a new one is directly from pioneer luckily his warranty was still good. other then that its not to bad simple to use like the iphone ipod touch. thats another thing we found out only for iphone or ipod touch does not work on a regular ipod as you have to install a app to use it

  4. sorry dont know how to do links. i tried xenonhidheadlights.com after my cousin got some on his silverado.

after they sent back most of my money i used and are using notto hids from carid.com iv ordered about 5 sets most of which are not for my cars. theyr pretty expensive at $100, they come with a capacitor tried with/out capacitor different ballast different bulbs and just the bulb is bad, i herd of hods on amazon oracle hod bulbs hid look but not as bright. automotivelightstore.com i guess is internet seller they have some amazing halos check out their youtube vids of the halos. didnt use a relay even tho it does come with one, dont think it will make a difference since i already determind it was a bad bulb.

  5. no i didnt misspell hid its hod. i installed hids in the wifeys car and they look sweet! well they did driving at night its not all the visible and one of the bulbs is went bad it lights up white not bright at all and the other blue. only the blue one lights up somewhat on the road the white one nothing. im sure i could send it back for another one, but iv never been one to work with worrantys and this is the 3rd bad hid set i would send back(not all from the same company or car.) iv installed hids in 4 other cars and they work just fine bright and blue. As for the wifeys g6 i want to try something else maybe her headlights dont reflect hids well or somthing. i was just going to get some regular whiter halogen bulbs or some silverstar bulbs when i stumbled upon HODs which means high output discharge or somthing like that.they are supose to be brighter than regular halogens cheaper alternative to hids but most people are using dmms and they are about $35 the hods are about $40 shipped. so does anyone have experience with these hods?

  6. so i got it installed everything works great on the unit except the bypass but im not really going to watch movies anytime soon so its no big deal i can wait for the pac tr-7 to arrive.

im not to sure i like the unit in comparison to the 205. i do like the no cds cuz who uses cds anymore lol when installing some of my uncles stereos with like 5 of my cousins none of them had any cds to test their stereos out only iphones and ipods lol. yes it charges the newer version ipods unlike the 205 and the 407 actually knows what an ipad is(when i plugged in an ipad the iva-w205 didnt know what it was).

but this may be just somthing dumb but the volume isnt 0-32 or whatever its just a bar that fills up, dont know if i like that over volume at 22 cuz i ride 22s :drinks: a couple other stuff but i guess ill get used to it til i decide to get a new hu

  7. yea i think im going to have to get it, i got it to work with my old 205 but for some reason it wont work correctly with the 407, i can get it to work to set the clock and some settings but its weird that its almost like the ignition is acting like another switch, but if i cant get it this weekend im going to order the pac tr-7 seams easier then flipping switches and pushing the brake

  8. i just got a new hu alpine ixa-407 and i cant get the bypass working. i previously had a alpine iva-w205 and bypassed it. so i figured it would work the same. heres the problem im having when i press the brake move the switch it wont do anything until i turn the truck off, not all the way off just engine off. or if i turn it all the way then just turn it back, then the movie/setup will show up as it should, iv seen people using the pac somthing bypass module but i didnt have to with my old unit would i need it for the new one? i have the yellow/black to foot brake and yellow/blue to the switch/ground
