I would like to learn more about controlling it.
On an off-note Slawsen, I like the gaming rig. You need stronger cards (2x 5870) with all that processor
-
Thanks a lot. You can see I've alway struggled with understanding that.
-
honestly... some common sense here. how can you rise lower?
Ha, if you can't laugh are yourself, what then? So if an amp can handle going under 1 ohm and rise makes it does that, your getting more power? I think I'm getting it Please don't hit me....
-
Sorry guys, I'm a little slow If your speakers are at 1 ohm with impedence rise, does the ohm load move toward .5 or back toward 2? I once had a setup that was supposedly 1 ohm stable, but once I played it for about 30 mins, it would start to cut off. I'm guessing if was from the ohm loads were being thrown off.

I have never really browsed this thread before, but I got hold of some high speed early today and checked it out. It's a shame what happened to your ride, but I'm loving the come back. I'm kinda hatin' on ya boy for all the silly slap he's gonna have.

i wouldnt spend 1000$ for a 4000~ watt amp.... when you can spend like 1200 and get a 8000+ watt amp
DC level 5s can take power, im tossing around 4000 rms a piece to them and they dont even get warm..
That's not bad. If you don't mind sharing secerts, what kinda amps do you speak of?
Dub7, all this talk of nut swinging makes me want to buy a DC

I'm just wanting to get peoples opinions in this. I'm alway discovering new brands that make really nice high-end equipment, but their prices are usually high. The brands I recently discovered were Ground Zero Audio and Hertz (I know about their comps, but the make nasty subs and amps). How much do you guys think is the maximum you should pay for a quality product? I not asking how much you would pay, but the maximum for quality. I think $1000 for a good 4000+ watt amp is fair. I would pay accordingly for the increase in power. I think for $1000, the Cadence ZRS-6 is the amp to beat. Subs are kinda tricky to me. I could see me spending $1000 for a sub if it could have a ZRS-6 without sweating. I know subs like Steve's, FI, T3, TC Sounds, RE MT etc. are all good, but vary in price.

Man, that's classic Chuck

Thanks for the input. Since you have hands on experience, some say they can/can't handle 5K or how ever much the 2 Kx2500.1 deliver. Any thoughts on that?

dude, you cant trust anyone in malls here in nc, all kinds of crazies out there, buncha old pervs around ours
You ain't lying man. To Zach, I would have loved to receive the call that said I owe backed payments on a 120K Benz.

Guys I don't know. Maybe it's because young, black, and have dreadlocks, she must have thought I was a dumbass. I'll tell the story. I was strolling thru the mall to pickup some t-shirts. I walk by this shop and this somewhat elderly lady ask me if I would be wiling to take a store survey, so I said sure. She said it would greatly help her and the store and I'm all about helping out when I can. First she asked for my name and address. I figured she was going put me on a mailing list for some shit I was gonna throw away. She then ask, "have you lived there all your live?". The yellow flag come up in my head. I was like yeah. She asked a few more questions then asked, "can I have the name and number of a relative or close friend?". The orange flag come out. I should have left there but, I wanted to see how far she would try to play me. I gave her a fake name and number. She asked a few more questions then asked, "Can I have your SS number?". I'm like WTF. I was like "we gotta stop here". I'm not giving out my SS #." She said some other shit and I left. I went to buy my shirts and walked back by the shop and guess what, the bitch won't there. I'm starting to think she didn't even work there and was looking for people to scam. I thought the dreads and mean mug would scare most people off from asking stuff like that, but I guess I look soft. Nah, I'm kidding. I guess because I was by myself, she thought she could get me. That was one of the boldest things I've ever seen from a anyone.

I thought so. Kicker never stuck me as crap even down to the Comp VRs.
-
I've heard the jokes and hate on Kicker and their subs, but I'm wondering about the Solo X's. How do they sound on a decent amp like Rockford's? I know sometimes the brands of amp can completely change the way a sub sounds. How about with Kicker's own amps?

Thats is a nice score.
Do you know he specs on the box and tuning.
My best is a 148.3 on music middle of windshield (3 minute average)off one 3500. I must be doing something wrong. LOL
Would love to see pictures also.
Again nice score ...
That sounds about right. I have a friend with 3k on 6 12"s and he does 148.

This is a good deal. I may buy this if I have the money in a couple of weeks.
-
I knew a guy that had 2 DMX 15"s on 8K. I damn near died. Good shit, but high.

Wutttt!!! No, this song is deep in meaning.

Anyone know any good places to find some broke HP Switches? ebay has a few. im looking around and eventually i will buy one. but its gotta be a 1000, i dont want to run 100mbit.
I'm not trying to sound like a smart ass, but you should call HP and see where/if you could get one. I know that those cost big bucks. Odd is if one gets broke, the users sends it back for repair and not to be recycled.

I think doing it sealed takes a massive amount of subs. Then those subs are usually in a diamond, v-shape, or clamshell, so ported technically....kinda like what G-Monk had in his van.
-
Grado has some amazing earbuds. They're about $90-$100. But they will last a long time and sound great.
Yeah, good sound and longevity are two things I'm looking for.

Rockford Fosgate.
I had no idea. I can't say no to anything with the Rockford name on it. I'll get them after I get my money up.
-
V-moda bass freq ear buds are my favorite, they are really cheap on ebay.
I just searched and read about these. I'm gonna try them. And RF has earbuds? I've had two sets of skullcandies and they both died. I'm done with them. For the price of the V-moda's, I don't care if they don't last forever.
-
This has probably been asked before, but which is better? I like the DD name and the tunable option, but I know Kicker also makes a quality product.
-
I love that blue. That's my favorite color. But seriously, if you can afford it, go candy. You're Steve, you gotta set yourself apart
