Plan on running a AQ1200@2ohms, so 800-900watts...I'm on Torre's Calculator right now trying to figure out some box dimensions.

Woah, thanks for the info!

What mandates how much port area you should have? I'm trying to find what amount of port area I should shoot for with a 10" TC Sounds OEM.

Will do.

Yeah, I had found that earlier. Just didn't know if there was an actual tutorial lurking somewhere on the interwebs O.o
Thanks tho!

I got a feeling I'm just gonna have to trial-n-error this, haha.

Does anyone know of a kerfing tutorial? if not, i think someone experience in the field should make a thread on it

As the title states I'm looking for a 10" TC Sounds OEM subwoofer.

Exactly! BJD3 hit the nail on the head...thanks
And thank for the suggestion, JCiarlino.
Will post a link if I find anything worthwhile.
-
Have you tried searching or are you just giving that genaric answer? Cause I came up with nothing, most likely due to the fact those words are used in nearly every thread

One final bump haha

Can I get some links to some comp SQ build logs?

Why are Honda CRX's so popular among the car audio community?

I've decided to go with the Sennheiser HD428, they have excellent reviews and hell they're only 20 bucks...Thanks for the advice guys and gals

Oh ok, i saw he mentioned the DD earbuds so i thought he was looking for earbuds
Oh my bad, I was considering some ear buds, but I was checking out some headphones and found them not as clunky as some other ones i had owned.
-
The beats by dre are the best sounding I heard I love them... And u can pick up the in ear one for like 45 shipped on eBay that's a deal when theygo for 150 at the stores
The solos or the studio version?
The Solos kind of disappointed me in the bass area, well compared to the Studio version.
-
If your budget is about 100 dollars, I'd go with the RF ear buds.
I'm looking for some headphones...my ears are oddly small and I tend to have issues with ear buds...and not to sound like a D-bag but I refuse to use RF anything.
Thanks for the suggestions tho!
Yea, really.
And i think he wanted headphones, not earbuds.
And for 100 dollar the best headphones in that range IMO is the Sennheiser HD495
EDIT: they get low without any problems, it has good highs and nice midrange.
If u are going to power it with a (headphone) amp they will lack some bass if u turn it up loud.
They don't really sound harsh, but tehy get harsh on higher volumes.(with high volumes i mean loud enough to hear it 4-5 metres away )
Do they require an amplifier?
Having trouble finding that specific model, but I'm liking some of their other models as well as the reviews on them.

Bose will be better than the headphones that come packaged with something, but again, that's not saying much. They are outrageously overpriced.
OP: Trying to get opinions on headphones is going to be difficult. What sounds good to me may flat out suck to you.
My favorite pair of headphones are the Koss Portapros.
Yeah I like the Bose headphones I listened to had some impressive clarity in the highs, but seemed to lack in the mid's and sub-bass frequencies, forgot to check prices tho.
I figured I could get a general consensus on some higher quality headphones.
I'll have to check out the Koss
-
Lol, no offense taken...preferbly something <$100. I just listened to the Dr.Dre studio headphones and about had to go change my pants, haha. But at $300 a pop they are a little out of my price rang
-
So, these iPod headphones just arent doing it for me anymore...what is the best sounding headphones yall have heard. I was checking out the DD earbuds but had heard mixed things about them.

So, I was just trying to go to bed but my cat wouldn't leave me be...purring and what not. That got me thinking, "what frequency does a cat purr at..." *inquisitive look*
So I googled it and turns out the average purr is between 27-44hz, thought it can extend up to 150hz...thought this was interesting and thought'd I'd share
