I just found a Sharp speaker; consisting of a 15" woofer, and 1 3" and 2" speaker...i was wondering if i would be able to hook this up to my computer...it has a regular terminal on the back. Tag says its rated at 150w RMS
Thanks for your input...peace

my stomach hurts just thinking about it...

ah ok. Thanks peoples xD

sorry it took me so long to respond, but thanks alot...very helpful
By a horn shape you mean bigger at the opening of the tunnel than the back of the tunnel im assuming.
What do you mean by tune it on the sealed side?
-
bigger box = lower tuning in sealed applications
so ~1.3 cubes a sub...bout 18 total, should be pretty low?
-
The way I have understood tunnels is the tunnel itself is the port. That is where you tune it. I'm not totally sure on that though and hopefully somebody with more knowledge on tunnels will chime in as I want to learn all there is about tunnels. Here is some info I got from somewhere else.
For a ported tunnel
This one is after I asked about the tunnel BILTD did in his Astro. The one that's posted here. One awesome setup.
Hope that helps.
Thanks man! Helped a hell of a lot! Might end up redesigning as a ported tunnel

I'm looking to build a tunnel enclosure for 12 10" woofers, either DD 1510's or Sundown SA-10's haven't made up my mind yet. Each sub will have roughly 1 cube of air space. The question i have is, how do i make sure this hits the lows like i want... I've never worked with any sealed enclosures and didn't know if there was some way to "tune" it. Oh, and i will be running 3 SAZ-2000D's at 1 ohm(4 woofers per amp). I'm lookin' to have some major :hairtrick:
heres a sketchup of the enclosure
-
Can you run 3 amps of the same bass knob?
-
With that many subs, I would do 3 amps, 4 subs per amp. The more subs that are on the amp the more imp. rise you will have.
Alright, thanks man
-
Or the recommendations of anyone else
-
yea, it would be
all paralleled is .67ohm to each amp...i guess a sundown could handle that after box rise so long as your electrical is good.
series 3 and parallel, you get 6ohm, parallel 3 and series is 2.67ohm (if you wanted to strap or use amps that like 2ohm)
or run 4 small amps at 1.33 or 1 big amp at 1.33
get to it
Thanks dude, what would you recommend? as far as how many amps? i like the 1 big amp idea...
-
oh nice, thanks bruh
-
Would the SAZ-2000d's be able to handle that ohm load?
-
I want to run 12 DD 510's(4 ohm SVC) woofers on 2 SAZ-2000D's...would it be possible to wire this? like 6 subs on 1 amp?
-
Ok, so i liked the big square port idea and made this up...im not sure if the sub will be able to properly build pressure throughout the box with its placement in relation to the port...thoughts?
i screwed up drawing the port a little bit, but you get the idea...i will probably use some dowel bracing on the bottom and sides of the port
heres the tuning on it
-
cause of the port area ....not needed as much as for slot ports but got to go safe for the box volume
and btw. i have a Havoc
Ah, i knew that...i feel like an idiot now haha
ya i know...subed a while back
Thanks for the info dude!
-
if u go with aeroports u will need to get three or atleast two 6" aeros ....
Why would i need multiple aeroports?
-
Was looking at this 6" aeroport kit...

-
Would an aeroport be a viable option for this sub and setup(SAZ-1500D)?
